What can anyone tell me about Barenbrugge Cues out of
Arizona. I know nothing about them. Seeing them, they appear to be a beautifully done cue. I understand they are only sold out of Japan and are very hard to find and get. I have never seen one on AZ for sale.
Any and all info about these cues would be great, also does anyone have any for sale as well.
Thanks in advance for any help.....

If you want one of his cue, you have to get it from Mr. Lucky from Japan.

I feel a little stupid as I just set him a PM to see if he is taking orders and what the wait time is:o . He should have a good laugh at that one. I would almost bet Kenny has one of his cues in the Master Koo closet safe:D :D

I've only seen two for sale in the US EVER....
One was on ebay late spring/early summer last year.
If I remember correctly the bluebook has a quote in there like "sometimes the student surpasses the teacher."
My bible is packed away so I can't look it up, but if you have the chance to get one, I'd go for it. Probably after talking to Dave first, but still.....

Dieckman student

I understand Dennis Dieckman was one of his influences. What I know of these cues is that Barenbrugge executes a superb chain link inlay pattern and his butterflies are very precise.

If you want his cue, drive a truckful of bottled root beer to his desert home.

Inflation has taken its toll on cuemaking in Arizona.

A truckload of bottled root beer doesn't get it anymore.

Add 40 lbs of medium roasted gourmet coffee and season tickets to the Arizona Diamondbacks (5th row up right behind the the Diamondbacks dugout) and thats just for his plain cues!

As much as I hate to inflate Barenbrugges already massive ego, as good as his cues look, they play even better (subjectively speaking of course).

Two Quick Thoughts:

His cues are absolutely flawless, stunning to hold.

He is one of the very nicest gentlemen you will ever meet.

As others have said, good luck getting one. VERY hard to find outside of Japan, very nice work.

Hell of an odd sense of humor as well!! hehe

Here's a pic of some from the ICCS Las Vegas show. They're gorgeous:

You must have been talking to someone else other than Barenbrugge. He is an absolute *#@&!!

PaulyBlatz-having been able to spend a fair amount of time playing with a Fanelli and a Barrengerergee, there is a world of difference in how (subjectively speaking) the cues play/hit.

Comparing the two is an apples/oranges deal, especially when you look at future resale value.

Just one mans subjective opinion.

I also own about 10 Fanelli`s and several other butterfly cues. Paul Fanelli is also a real gentleman who builds world class butterfly cues, and my comments were not at all to imply otherwise.

I still give high recommendation for Dave Barenbrugge for both his cues and his gentle manner. Do NOT comment that I must have been talking to someone else. Maybe you were. I know who I speak with.

Will-you're being way too serious. Barenburggers lives a couple of miles from me, hes a friend and I see him fairly often........... I was jesting a bit.

BTW-you should have said "I knoweth of whom I speak";)

And, subjectively speaking, not many cues hit better than his.

Have A Really Swell Day!

not that my opinon means anything or should for that matter, Dave's cues are great and he's a great guy. If you find one in the states snap it up. He made cues before hooking up with Lucky in Japan but they never seem to surface. truly great rings and original designs and wood combinations.

After my little outburst, I saw where you had commented on how good Dave`s cues hit, so I figured I had put my foot in my mouth a little bit. Thanks for the comment.

Take care,
