Congrats to Chris Bartram on winning the Action Challenge against Mike Dechaine. It was a great match and Chris showed some of the best pool i've ever seen him play.

That would mean

that Bartram, and a race to 100 is solid proof, is a 22% (18/82) better player.

Again, another brilliant broadcast provided to the international pool world, courtesy of TAR!

I was watching a little bit of it, and I definitely gathered a great deal of information in the Live Chat! :D

Chris Bartrum is a seasoned road player, having traveled around the country and competed in many tournaments. It is no surprise to me that he came out on top.

However, Mike is the new kid on the block. I remember seeing him on the Joss Tour events several years ago, and even back then, he was a force to be reckoned with. His enthusiasm and thirst to be the best does not go unnoticed.

After Mike has a little more experience under his belt, like Chris Bartrum, there just may be a new sheriff in town!

Great match. I wish I could have watched the whole thing, but it went way past my bedtime! :o

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. How about that latest announcement from TAR, the biggie! TAR has been selected to be at Valley Forge next month providing coverage of Allen Hopkin's Million-Dollar 9-Ball tournament to us Internet pool junkies!

BRAVO to Allen Hopkins for recognizing excellence! See you there, TAR! Congratulations are in order. :)

HeyHeyHey!!! Way to go TAR.

Congrats Chris... sorry for your loss Mike and Eric... "good experience" seems like precious little reward.

great match by Chris. Im glad he was my horse. I'm looking forward to the Schmidt/Kirkwood match. All of you that haven't purchased the PPV, do so and help support TAR.

Good thing about Bartrum is he always looks to be giving a 100% to each shot. Thats gotta make a difference in a race to 100. Good playing.

Congrats to Chris! I wish I could have watched Mike's best game.

Thanks TAR for the free match!

Great coverage TAR!!! Kudos to being flexible and coming thru when it was not smooth sailing.

Question: do you save these matches for viewing later for the public's consumption/purchase? I want to see more matches but often the times don't work out for my love life.... I didn't see any mention of this capability on www.theactionreport.com (sorry if I missed it)...

Thanks again TAR and congrats on the $1MM award!

Matt

I got lucky! I only had two small bets on Mike. I would have bet more but everyone wanted to bet both matches together.

Both players showed a lot of skill, but Mike was on the receiving end of a month's worth of bad rolls.

quite honestly i watched about 3 hours of the match... in that time i saw mike play good and bad... during the bad part he missed no less than 10 straight in shots, from 2 to 6 feet... during the whole time i watched almost everytime he missed he hooked chris. there were rolls both ways i'm sure but i seriously doubt a months worth on one side either way.

Chris invariably plays the same, even down to each shot. About the only thing that he changes is his break when it's not working. He's not the best but probably is the steadiest player in the country. He has tremendous heart as well.

When I first saw Mike play I thought, "Well, this kid may outshoot Chris". He's definitely a flashy and talented player with a powerful stroke.

When Chris layed that perfect position and complete mastery of the table's speed on Mike, game after game after game, with no let up, I think Mike cracked. I may be wrong. He definitely has higher gears than he was able to summon in this match. The Bartram Road Warrior game was unleashed. Better men than Mike have fallen to it and couldn't understand it. Bartram is a MONSTER and he bears down when he gets ahead...Tom

I may be wrong-Ive only seen Chris play three or four times. I didnt see a MONSTER- just a pretty good Open player.

Didnt ALex just give him the 7 and beat him btw? I know ALex won the first set as he was my horse. Chris has great focus and stamina but his overall game is not yet Monster class IMHO
