Not sure if these had been posted. Snagged this via Max Eberle on Facebook.

I'm guessing these are the newer, new TV ball sets? I know the 7/14 ball is a different color but for the life of me, I can't seem to remember what the OG color was...

7/15 was brick red or the lighter brown color on the TV set.

There was a thread about this a bit ago, it's some China made set, not the TV sets from Aramith. I think the colors look like the Harry Potter Jelly Bellies.

Would love to find out how they play, I'll be there with my son for Jr Nationals next week and from what I have been hearing and infering from that, they will be using the same ball sets.

I am in disagreement about using the new colored balls. It may be great for the company that made them as advertisement, but I don't think it is fair to the players to introduce these new balls in such a Huge tournament as the Vegas tournament is. I think it is a bit of a distraction. Just my opinion

Those balls are in support of Travon. Colored after the skittles he had with him.

I believe the ball brand is called "Cyclop". I played with these balls for a an hour or two. They played plenty fine, and I didn't seem to play any different than Aramith balls. These were new balls though, so not sure how they would wear over time or behave as they get worn.

I thought the colors were fine. I felt it was easier to aim on these balls because there were more light color balls, vs. darker balls which I find harder to aim on.

That's about it.

Orange and red still look alike. There's another set with the pink color... I don't care what color the darn balls are but some folks I know could really use the extra cue since they can't read the number printed on the side.
Hope you bca guys kickbutt inn any coor

As previously mentioned, they are Cyclop brand balls. I had never heard of them until the stream yesterday. I did a quick search and found very little information on these balls.
I too, am curious of how they play compared to the line-up of Aramiths offerings. On the stream there was mention of the balls having a 2-5mm layer of clear coat to them, I wonder if this clear coat wouldn't somehow alter aim perception in some fashion.

Personal gripe:
Just what the sport needs, more variance in how equipment plays.............

I think they're good, I'd change the 7/15 to something else but with this set there will be no confusion on the stream as to if its the 2,4,6,7,8 ball when it's the dark one way up table.

The balls are from a new company called Cyclop.

I first saw them a year ago at the BCA trade show.

I have them on the table in my booth, and they play just fine. I can't tell any real difference other than the colors. I've heard that the weight tolerance is quite a bit tighter than the previous ball sets.

I see it as a non issue. They are quality balls that go in the hole when you hit them right.

New Colors

They look like a bag of skittles with a rogue licorice piece in there just waiting to screw up everything. Kind of sums up my 8 ball game.

I second what Royce said. We had a set of these balls on our table at the BCA Summit and they seemed to play just fine.

I'm curious to hear more feedback from the players in Vegas though.
