I'm looking for a great online pool store. It must have a very wide selection of sticks, tips, shafts, accessories, balls, etc. It must have competitive prices. It must be very reputable and have a lot of happy customers.

Suggestions?

http://www.azbmarketplace.com/

i always plug the azb store. they give us this forum for free and they have everything you will need at competative prices. you also earn az bucks toward you future purchases. check them out please !

Awesome, will do.

Which brings up my next question - is the forum we're in now generally considered to be the most read/used billiards forum on the web? Or are there billiard/pool forums out there that are more used?

this is the most used forum in pool with over 23000 members !

news and stuff happens here before anywhere else.

As with everything it pays to shop around. I doubt one place is cheaper on everything.

Having said that, I always recommend to everyone that they give AZB sponsors the shot at your business. Probably the two biggest supporting vendors are PoolDawg and Seyberts (through the AZB Marketplace) but there are others as well. There are also numerous vendors that are Club Members on this site so they at least pay a subscription fee to help support AZB.

For customer service, PoolDawg and Seyberts (again, go through the AZB Marketplace) are excellent. I've also had excellent experience through Club Members like Cheapcues.com. As for dealing with any member here, use the itrader feedback as a source for gauging service.

On principle, I tend to stay away from member/vendors that are not Club Members and/or that pitch their products in the main forum instead of in the for sale area. I just think this is rude and unfair to all the other vendors who play by the rules and limit their posts to the proper forum.

I don't know if you would consider the ebay store. I would say Nielsen's Billiards might be a choice in terms of service and price.

Your best bet is to check the AZMarketplace here first. After that I actually go with the places that advertise here like PoolDawg and Seybert's. If none of those have what I want (which is very rare) I'll do a Google search and check with one of the many I have had good business with out there.

Obviously, if you don't find what you're looking for at the AZB Marketplace then you probably won't find it a Seyberts. Gunzby, I'm sure you know, but some others may not be aware that the AZB Marketplace IS Seyberts, just with an AZB Marketplace skin over the website. I have no idea what the financial relationship is. If I had to guess I would suppose it's some sort of commission deal, but it doesn't really matter.

Nevertheless, support the vendors that support this site. If you find what you like at Seyberts, go through the AZB Marketplace to place the order. If you want to order something from PoolDawg I would hope you would enter their site through the forum by clicking on their banner at the top of the page rather than going directly to PoolDawg. This way they know they are getting action on their advertising dollars with AZB.

BTW, there are numerous other companies that support the site through the rotating ads at the top of the page. Tiger, Viking, OntheRail, Simonis, Accu-stats, etc. All of these companies can be best reached through clicking on the ad.

It also is nice to click on sponsors links occasionally just to visit them and let them know they are getting hits through the forum. ;)

Not knocking anybody else...

The customer service I got at PoolDawg recently was awesome. Lots o' green to them.

If you look up at the top of this page you will notice the website that sponsors this forum.....POOLDAWG.com

I have had successful dealing with AZMarketplace, Seyberts, Pool Dawg and Muellers (Poolndarts.com).

Depending on what you're looking for you might have to check a few sites.

Good Luck.

I usually buy from Seybert's because of low price. I just received an e-mail from Mueller's today offering free shipping. That's a big saving especially on small items. I don't know if it's ethical to post the code here on the forum.

The problem is, I don't think there's any pool shops in the entire city. I live in the capital of Florida- Tallahassee. If you can point me to a pool shop in the city, I'll definitely check it out.
