best bar box B player

Someone who is an 'A' player would be my guess. This is a tough question, because different areas have different rating systems.

none pro none A player B player only

ok make this a lil easier lol best B rank Bar Box player in Louisiana

ok Explain

You named a guy that plays very close to pro speed on a bar box when asking who the best "b-ranked player" is. What do you need me to explain?

Lets just say someone that gets 2nd in a tourney like this

http://www.azbilliards.com/thepros/2000showtourney2009.php?eventnum=353

is probably not a B-player. And since there is no official recognition of player levels in this sport the calling of a player like Gary Abood a "b-player" is most definately subjective and is going to be questioned by some.

Explain what you think a b-player is.

That "amature" tournament had a former canadian 8-ball champion, a winner of multiple canadian tour events who is currently making his living as a road player, I could go on....

In all honesty how do you class a "pro", there is no pro tour, no professional organization. It is not like the PGA where you can say "that guy has his tour card, he is a pro".

Yet you go on to claim you want a B-player, not even a A-player. What you class as a B-player I would class as a shortstop level if you consider that to be where Gary is.

Who is the greatest waitress at Applebee's?

That question is easier to answer than the best bar box B player in the world.

By the way, I think the best description of B vs. A player was this:

B - Really the beginning of the run out player. If they make a ball on the break and get position on the 1 ball, they should have a reasonable expectation to get out. Any cluster or unusual position play will diminish their chances significantly. Usually, B players possess unusual strength in either pocketing, strategy or position play. Rarely two of three, never all three. Their creativity is usually limited at this level but you may begin to see glimpses of what's to come.

A - Definitely catagorized as a run out player. They are supposed to capitalize on most mistakes. Greater attention is paid to more subtle details. Expect a consistent and strong break and strength in multiple attributes (pocketing, defense, position play, creativity). Most noticeable among players at this level and above is an aura of confidence.
