Hi there.
Can anyone of you recommend a Cuemaker Instructional DVD-set? For what reasons?

Until now I saw the Brianna and the Joe Barringer DVD-sets. I'd be glad to get other advices and ratings from you.

Thanks in advance,

You can also check Chris Hightower. He has a very good book on the subject and a DVD set. He goes by the name cueman on this forum.

WOW!
Nice sale.

I haven't seen Lee's, so can't speak to them, but between Barringer's DVDs, Hightower's DVD's, and Hightower's book, you have covered quite a lot of ground. Some topics missing though, are wraps (linen, leather, and stacked) and finishing, which is a very big topic. I see that Lee has some DVDs on these topics, but again, I haven't seen them.

If you've seen Chris' DVDs, but don't have his book, there is quite a bit in the book not covered in the DVDs and it's worth the purchase if you're really going to get into cuemaking.

There are some miscelaneous short clips for your enjoyment here.

Another cue making link that may be of interest.

Dieckman's "From the Tree to the Cue."

Good luck!

my DVDs are more for cue repair then cue making we have been trying to do one on inlays and cnc but never seem to have the time . Chris book is very good covers many aspects of cue making anyone should start with ordering the book first and reading it through several times .

I purchased Hightower's dvds and they are a very good resource. I plan on buying Barringer's as well. As they say, knowledge is power.

Knowledge is only potential power :) you need to use it for it to become power....reading and watching all the dvd is great but it may be better to buy a machine and start hacking at what you're learning.

Duc.

I totally agree, if you are a beginner or not there is something there for everyone, and the basics are covered very well.
