Agree & agree. This one is slightly different in that it's an inane hypothetical question about which tip is the best all-rounder - playing, breaking and jumping. I've never seen that one before and top marks to the OP for inventiveness.

As someone else said, we've got nothing better to do. :o

thanks for the udates. the idea is to c which gets the most approvals for an all round tip. only one cue, one tip, but all playing styles. so far "triangle" tips seem to be the preferred tip f/by kamui hard, but again remember this tip must jump, break, and play with apparent acceptability in all situations. i currently do it all with a phenolic tip of unknown maker but on a samsara shaft
 
Best Tip?

I've tried a lot of different layered tips and some I liked ok and some I don't care for, but for the money and if I could only have one tip I'd go with a Triangle tip.

My vote is for Talisman, specifically the pigskin (tan) and medium. No
mushrooming and holds shape forever and excellent consistency and spin.

Paul Dayton recommends and swears by them, and I think he knows a
thing or two about tips!

1. triangle or a compressed one
2. kamui hard
3. tiger: emerald or onyx
4. moori original, and a couple of others here and there
