Buyer will not regret; best hitting cue; hits a ton; the perfect tribute; test hit only; can't believe I'm selling; rare!

If the shit above were true, you wouldn't sell!i know I wouldn't!

Am I the only one who rather hear honesty? "Well known builder, hit wasn't for me."
damn. What happened to honesty?

Need I remind you? This is a pool website? ;)

That said...for your well being, ignore the enthusiast/collector car world.

I have owned a couple of the "best cues ever".

One was the best at missing rail shots.

One couldnt make a ball at all! I regret letting that one go.

Marketing has been around as long as people have been.

The snake oil salesmen moved on to modern ventures.

Ever buy a used car? I think the word JudgeJudy uses is "puffery". Caveat emptor.

I have sold two cues by known makers that I didn’t need and didn’t prefer the hit but the other two loved the hit. It’s just a preference thing but honesty may turn people off. Just leave out the negative details for you.

I sold a lot of snooker cues In the 80s...and pool cues in the 90s...
...almost always hands on....a lot at tournaments.

It was amazing how many people wanted me to give them the hype....
...I would tell them to hit a ball with it....you either like it or you don't...
.....so many wanted me to talk them into the sale.

I sold the best hitting cue I have ever hit a ball with. It was one I built for an elderly gentleman in Missouri named Floyd. I played a little with it before he got it and it played lights out.

And, normally, you never miss a ball, Chuck, so when you were playing with that cue, you were batting .500! That'll get ya 100 mil a year in the big leagues!!! :grin-square: :grin-square: :grin-square:

:duck:

Wait...what??? I just read your signature line. You went back to the mighty Lucasi as your main playing cue?

Maniac

Yup went back to old Chinese made Lucasi.
It just feels more comfortable in my hands.
The Downey is drop dead beautiful though.

Good topic, there are sooooo many "best cue ever in life" out there that people's lifespan seem's to be that of a house fly. I do have what I consider the best playing cue I have personally owned, I think partly in fact that its made exactly how I wanted it. Length, wood, taper, wrap...etc down to to all the material that went into it. Im sure others have that same way of thinking. I think for some however, when they say best cue ever or hits a ton blah blah blah its a selling point, if the cue is indeed for sale. Anything card that can entice someone is fair game and will be played.

That being said, if anyone wants a great playing cue check out the link below...I'll have several very soon

I have a confession to make....
...a guy picked up a cue from my display at a tournament....he asks “Does this cue play any good?”
....I said “Good?....I left it lying on table last night....it ran five racks!”
...the guy bought it without testing...:)

I love hyperbole

I tell 'em my cue will shoot good as you will and prolly better. It might be a little bent sometimes, a few dings but nuttin bad, prolly need a new tip & the case don't come with but I got a few rubber bands or some paracord.
CASH money, pay up or tell me a quick joke , I got to go get a drank, and I don't do bidness when I'm drankin'!
