IMO - Mitch Ellerman - Phoenix, Arizona

In Miami...right now its Robb Saez.

Woman player...hmmm probably Crystal M, a spirit tour regular.

In Ft Liquordale/Broward...I would say Rob M. aka thebighurt on AZB. Alot of guys play really close with him though. For the women it would be Laura L.

Too many to pick from here, Robb Saez, Rodney Morris, Alex Pagulyan,
Ray Martin, CM Lee, Howard Vickery and a few others I'm sure I forgot.:)

Hi Uwate,

Question: I live in NYC now but I'm from Miami and have friends who currently live there and love pool, but don't know of any good poolhalls down there or any leagues. Got any suggestions? We've played at Peg's Pocket and a poolhall on South Beach, but nothing all that exciting or nice.

Also, my friend is interested in possibly getting a pool coach down there. Know of anyone reputable?

Currently????... Rafael Martinez... as he's in town visiting and staying with Mr. J. He played in our Monday night $10 entry 9-ball tournament.

On a regular basis... I'd say Dan Louie and Linda's husband, Mike Zimmerman.

Our area is divided because we are a border town of Ontario and Quebec.

Ottawa, Ontario

Steve Bourada

Gatineau, Quebec

Dan Mineault

Women: ask Jiggs!

moved

APA leagues I would guess. I am not much of a league player. For tournaments you have Sharpshooters on Thurs nights and Hollywood Billiards on Tues. Hollywood draws the best players and consistently gets 32+. Peg's is ok but not alot of players hang out there, although Joe who works there plays really good. Stay away from South Beach if they want to play serious pool. If they want to watch the lithe gazelles of South Beach run a bit, well thats a different story...

Best instructor in the area imo is Danny Diliberto. I just saw him last night giving some lessons to a young player.

First tournament experience I ever had (Sharpshooters Thursday night weekly) I got knocked out by Crystal. Ever since then I hadn't seen her around much up until the FL Pro Tour at New Wave. As for Robb, he kicks my ass on a regular basis.

I like Glenn Atwell's game, but watching him play makes my neck hurt..:D

Yeah he does do that neck at an angle thing huh. Glenn plays very strong, however; I would be hard-pressed to put my money in on Glenn against guys like Jessie Allred, Stan Tourangeau, Mike Z, Dan Louie, Mike Vidas, Todd Marsh, Eddie Mataya or a few others. He is by all means no dominating favorite in this area (Pac NW).

I have considered playing him with the breaks and the seven. He said I could have that all day.

I'll see him tonight probably.

I got to play Glenn Atwell and Dan Louie in my last big tournament. Both are really nice guys with a lot of game.
