We just returned from the us open, while there we visited Dave Bollman pro player.... pro golfer... and cue maker i aquired several sneaky petes from Dave and i must say much nicer then 99% of the cues out there.
his pricing is from around 150.00 for a plain sneaky to around 275.00 for something really decked out . these are a diamond in the rough anyone needing a great sneaky please consider Dave Bollman you will not be sorry

Although not a sneaky pete, I like the looks of Dave's playing cue in the picture
I'm about 90% sure that it's a Black Boar.

Last time I went down to Q-Masters, I met Mr. Bollman, and had him do some tip replacements for me. During our chat, he mentioned that he's got a nice Black Boar.....and if memory serves, it fits the description of the cue in that pic.

Again....90%. I could be mistaken, as I met quite a few folks while I was there...but I do believe he's toting around a nice BB cue.

I wouldn't say they are nicer, but they are definitely solid and have a nice long player friendly taper :)

I don't own one of his sneakies but I have played with several owned by people in league and shooting at Q-Masters. They are more player friendly than anything... not the prettiest cues out there :p

may be bold ....but true

Yeah, it's an old black boar... he's been shooting with it for quite a while.

Dave makes a great playing cue, lots of the locals have one including Eric Moore who put john schmidt out of the open this year...

I don't know how could anyone get closer, perhaps I would send an e-mail to many top cue makers out there and ask what is their answer for that question. Perhaps they could send pictures to show their opinions/guesses.

I personally am glad that you have posted as I am very curious and willing to get to know as many faces as possible.
On the other hand I don't think that we (any of us) would have to do any better than he does just to say what we think - if we could do better neither Dave and nor you had a job because if I / we did better I / we would be playing with our own cues.

I hope Dave will be very well known and I hope he'll be very acknowledged and will stand behind his product throughout his career.
Fingers crossed for Dave.

I don't want to sound like a fuss-box but could you please take a few pictures of the ends of the points?

Thank you and take care,

I am not trying to be contrary, but, it is a bold statement....and one I am sure that the likes of Mr Bautista, Mr Crisp, Mr Josey, Mr Tucker and Mr Zieler may take exception to. All build cues strictly with the player in mind, and their passion for what they do, shows. I am in no way saying that Mr Bollman does not make a nice cue....but to say he is a best kept secret may be a stretch.

BTW, I really do not consider a cue with a wrap, and quite possibly, SS joint qualifies as a sneaky, but then again. most do not, by the true definition. That, IMHO, is a nice non-veneered full splice cue with a linen wrap and SS joint.

Out of curiousity, does Mr Bollman build his own full splice blanks?
