Best Machine Ever. :-)

Guys ... We need to step back and give John Barton his due respect.
He and his brand, is a well known name to pool layers.
He is living the American dream at a good level of success and a lot of us only wish we could.
He is establishing himself in the cue market in China ... THE up and coming pool market of the world ... and HE is smart enough to see it for what it is.
Like a lot of pioneers that gave up living in their home land to peruse economic opportunity far from home, he has the balls to be where he thinks he needs to be to succeed.

You might not like John Barton as a person.
You might not like the way he posts here or even what he says.
But ... he has earned a high level of respect for accomplishing what he has.
I think he is an American and follows the free enterprise and inventive spirit that has made America the great nation it is.
I for one respect John and only wish I could have just partly aspired to what he has accomplished with his life.

Wow, there is no way you can be serious, lol. He is not following a dream, or a pioneer, he utilizes slave labor in a communist country that screws the entire world daily, but he deserves my respect? lol. I dont have anything against anyone for trying to better themselves or lifestyle, within reason. However, I have never read one word from John complimenting America, giving any credit to America, or showing one single ounce of respect for America, so he can go straight to hell if you ask me. I will fight to the death for my country, and so-called Americans that piss on my flag every day are just plain guilty of treason, in my book. That is my opinion. Of course john boy will post another thirty pages of anti-American bs, China is great, communist loving propaganda in an attempt to belittle me and all who dont agree with him, but I dont read his trash anymore, not worth the time. Again, just my opinion.

Joe<---------still thinks communism is complete bullsh1t.

Willee with all due respect, respect is not something that is given because some one has accomplished many things, first you have to look at what the accomplishments cost and what effects they have on the world we live in. Respect is never given freely, it is earned and it is earned in both word and deed, and for all the positive things John has done, his twisting of the words of others can not be over looked.

No one would argue that John Barton has contributed to Pool and Billiards in many positive ways, however, this can not only over shadow his under lying negative attitude concerning our country, and his contempt for other American Craftsmen.

On the subject of John Barton we will have to agree to disagree, and if you are his friend you may want to try and help him in ways that will benefit him because his Propaganda certainly fools no one.

Manwon, I respect your opinion as much as I respect John's.
I have very few "friends" but many associates and acquaintances.
I have never met John but do respect his accomplishments.
He is no fool! ... Nor is he an idiot like some would have you believe.
He is an American craftsman living in another country and doing bisness from there. So What! More power to the guy.
He is the one taking the risk and rightfully so deserves any rewards.
That used to be the way it was in America but now we are moving toward become a welfare country that penalizes the people that earn the most and gives it to the people that wont work.
The events of and actions of our government over the last few years should scare the hell out of any real American.

China will grow into the world's top power no mater what we do or dont do.
It has been that way since civilizations began ... a cycle of rise and fall.
Dont you read history?
Do you really think America is on the rising side of that cycle?
Look around any store at the labels on the products sold there.

China sends their products all over the world ... not just to America.
Go ask any Chinese worker what his dreams and aspirations are and the answer would be much the same as an American workers answer.
Dont judge another culture by our standards. They have their own.
It is their country ... not ours.
We went through the same cycle of slave labor, sweat shops, and abusive governments to get where we are today.
You think closing the sweat shops all over the world will solve a problem?
It would certainly cause starvation for many who have no other hope of any other job.
Who are we to deny any other country its natural progression to prosperity.
Those people live under a imperialistic government ... when they get fed up with it THEY will fight and earn their freedom ... or not.
We can not give it to them ... hasn't history showed enough times that just dont work?

And what about the world ... dont you think Iran is just about ready to end it all if they can? Nuclear is the word ... and you might just live long enough to see it happen.

In My Humble Opinion ... of course.

I've met John a couple of times, he's a great guy. He is very passionate, and if you don't understand where he is coming from you are likely to find him a little abrasive.
He's very smart, has been all over the world and in the pool scene for a long time.
Most of the people crying about him on here have been shown to be wrong, or had their beliefs challenged by him, and they can't get over it. Oh well!
Keep it up though, I find it quite entertaining.

Why do I suddenly feel like I turned into Jimbo? :-)

(drivel snipped) Again, just my opinion.

So do the "communists" - your way has won Joe. The whole world wants to be just like you, with the ability to have a TV in every room, and more intelligence of course.

John, I wish we had a President that felt so passionate about doing good for our country as you obviously feel about arguing.....and I mean that respectfully. :D

I find these threads entertaining, and I wonder what will happen when John suddenly stops and some of these people run head first into his back side, talk about a shit eaten grin!!!!!!!

Now that is some funny shit!!!!!!!!!:p

John, are you saying most Chinese pool players use American made cues?

Willee

:D

Wu Chia Ching use Southwest when he won his WPC and still does.
Chao Fong Pang use Ginacue when he won his WPC.
Yang Chin Shun use Southwest.

Majority of the A class player from Chinese Taipei use American Made cue. :D
But most players are playing with SW. Others are Ginacue, Mc Daniel, Tim Scruggs and etc.

tap, tap...

As best as I can recall it was

"Why oh why can't I get the external
validation I so desperately seek?"

or sumpin' similar.

Dale<observer of the humane condition>

No, it was why do you call people sellouts who teach others how to do things when you turn around and seek knowledge from others?

As opposed to you who has no room for people to support you because you your head is taking up all the room in your ass.

Again, do you have anything to add to the topic of discussion?

Sellouts. They should get with the program and Buy Taiwanese. That's what SOME of the American Cuemakers on this board want them to do. Or do I have it backwards, some of you just want to sell your cues to people all over the world but you don't want to allow those people to sell their cues to people in your country?

And the American and European class A players are winning world events using cues made in China. How ironic.

Nah, I'd call it childish.
When some people get outsmarted, they resort to insults, and petty sniping.

I do too. I wish more people were passionate about doing good for the world, not just America.

Like it or not we live on the same planet and if we don't get it together then we will have a catastrophic war that will be horrible beyond belief.

I don't know how some Americans with 5% of the world's population thinks that they are going to be able to continue to consume 25% of the world's resources without the rest of the world looking to them and wanting the same decadent lifestyle.

Well once again a simple question has devolved into things that have nothing to do with the original topic and instead of debating/discussing the question some folks took it upon themselves to make the thread about my character and motivation. I guess I should feel flattered that I mean so much to them for them to take a simple question so far astray.

As for me, I am going to the ICCS this week and delivering four high end cases to collectors there.

I will be having fun and making money while you are here talking about me raither than dicussing the topic.

If any of the people who so passionately hate me would care to show up and tell me to my face some of the completely nonsensical insults they are more than welcome to. I will be staying at the Inn at Loretto in Santa Fe all week.

Ciao,

John
