I believe you on that. I was at his place when it first opened about six month ago. He said he hadn't picked up a cue in about 4 months, and then he walked over to entertain some new customers and like ran 3 or for racks. While he was giving orders to the waitresses and trying to figure things on the computerhemicudas said:Yea but he works in his own pool room-restaurant-bar so he's not totally out of stroke.

Age has a funny way of remembering who's who in pool. Younger folk are only cognizant of today's players, but believe me, the games of stake today are nowhere near today what they used to be in the deep South, and some of the BEST warriors are relatively unknown in today's pool world.
A couple of decades ago, pool players flocked to Dixie because it was well known in pool circles that the South is where it was at.
Me being a banjo picker, I love this link about Beautiful Dixie. When I retire, I may just have to move. Isn't it beautiful?
