+2 for sure scot he is unreal at making a cue new again....you wont be disapointed....in fact it will be better than new...
I'd also go with Scot Sherbine at Proficient Billiards. He has reasonable prices along with a better than good turnaround time along with quality work. I had a high end cue refinished by Scot and was extemely satisfied. >>>:happydance:<<<

Bryan mordt @ http://bcmcue.com/ . I won't say he does the BEST finish work in the world (ignorant or homer are just not good labels to have lol) but I will say that I haven't seen a finish that was BETTER.
That's who refinished my Schon. It looks new. Don't know about pricing though because it was refinished before I got it, but they did excellent work.
Steve Lomax ( Lomax custom cues) does excellent work and is highly regarded by cue dealers to refinish their exotic high end cues. Very reasonable prices.
scott at proefficant. but if you have a vintage and money is not a concern- the tascarellas are the very best at restro!
Even if Steve doesn't do your refinish...at least let him do the wrap he is second to none.
Ryan at Muller he's on this board as RatCues I believe. I had him refinish one of my cues and I was very pleased.
One more vote for Scott Sherbine at Proficient. There's a number of guys out there that do great refinish work (Ryan Theewen and Brian Mordt were mentioned and are good choices as well), but I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than Scott. His smooth leather wraps are incredible. Had him put a black one on a Skip Weston cue a few years back, and you'd need a magnifying glass to find the seam.

When it came to have to my Schon cue refinished I simply sent it back to Schon, and it came back in absolute like new condition. I am of the belief that as long as a given cuemaker is still around to work on their own cues, that you should send their cues back for whatever work needs to have done to the cue.
But, I have seen excellent cleaning & refinish work done by Jacoby cues. Friends of mine have sent their Nova's and other cues to them and each one has come back in just absolute mint condition. So I have no problem recomending Jacoby cues if you want to send your cue to someone other than Schon.
