Best Player in state - simplified and on track

WEST VIRGINIA - Larry Price is in jail now (is he from WV? been here for a little while...thought he was from KY)
I would think Travis Stamper unless I'm missing someone.

Can't have been that long. He won banks at DCC.

Best Player in Texas???

Just like Florida, SC, etc, I don't think Texas has one "hands down" top player. There are many strong players within the state that were on the original list - Jeremy Jones, Charlie Bryant, Sylver Ochoa, etc.

I think that Jui Lung Chen definitely needs to be added to the list for TX.

Any ideas who the best player in Arkansas is?
There aren't any Champions that I know of, some people that play shortstop speed...

Bobby Earl, Greg Dickens, Shane Taylor?

I remember there was a guy in his mid to late twenties from LR that played good...
And 1 other from Russelville, but I don't remember their names

Bobby Earl plays well, but doesn't spend the majority of his time here.... Never heard of Greg Dickens or this Greg Jones (must be old players who have moved on unless you mean shane jones who also doesn't spend most of his time here). Shane Taylor is a solid player but certainly not top 5 within the state.

top in the state currently... Steve Miller, Randy Cole, Al O'rear (On certain days)

I forgot about Steve Miller, he does play good. No idea who Randy Cole is, but I have heard of Al O'rear. Not many people have seen Greg Dickens stretch out and that is why people don't know how good he plays. He beat James Walden and then Fargo in the finals of a big barbox tournament a few years ago. He is really just a gambler though which is why no one knows him. He is a whole lot better than Shane Taylor. Another guy we left off the list is from West Memphis, his name is Lanny Charles and he plays sporty.

Who is the short Oriental guy from LR that plays good? I can never remember his name.

Randy Cole has been known to beat fargo on the bar box in some tounaments.... not sure about a short Oriental guy from LR. You are possibly talking about a guy named Thou and I can't even come close to spelling his last name. He plays pretty strong, but I haven't seen him around lately. I have heard the name Lanny Charles but never seen him shoot. Like everyone said there are some decent players in Arkansas and maybe a short stop or two, but certainly no champions.

Actually I have thought of someone we left off the list and that is Lars Vardamen... He plays on justin bergman's league team with chuck raulston and a few others. Lars is young and plays well... especially since he is busy with pharmacy school and rarely picks up a cue.

New York: Tony Robles, Mika Imonen, Jonathon Smith,

Pennsylvania: Karen Corr

NC: Alison Fisher

until someone proves otherwise nobodody beats jamie baraks in illinois we are indeed close to iowa and we are indeed talkin about 7 8 9 footers 9 footers in illinois nobody beats him let's bet

Arkansas

Arkansas: Hands down, without a doubt!..... The Living Legend....."Country Calvin" ( Calvin Harcrow)

...other notables, Al Orear, Joe Jones, Steve Miller, Paul Dodge, Brad Weast, Randy Cole, (Danny Farhii, he may not play anymore?).......Greg or Shane Jones..not sure of first name , but saw him beat Joe Jones once at his place,
Greg Dickerson..don't know him, Bobby Earl .he's my buddy, but he's to squirrelly .........

...........and of course "ME"......i've been playng pool 37 years...and for the past 30 years, theirs not been anyone from Arkansas!, other than Joe Jones .....or Danny Farhii beat me more than twice outta 10 tries.......

..........my brother don't count!...althought i have beaten him in some tournaments....hehe

Davd Harcrow

Nice list!
A few corrections or recommendations:

In Maine, Im going to go with that DeChaine(sp?) kid-Mike is it?. In Pa you have a spelling error. I believe it is Eddie Abraham-not Abrams. I do not think Teddy Garrahan has lived in New J for a while. I believe he is in Vegas now.

New Jersey

Teddy "g" garrahann is his name ,I went to highschool with him and he resides in Vegas now so there should be a change..

I don't believe Shane Jones lives in fayetville anymore, Joe Jones isn't hitting balls very often (he wasn't shooting the same last time I saw him). Same story with Brad Weast even my no shooting ass would have to try him some with the 8.

I met and played that Mike Kid from Maine about 4-5 years ago. He came down to Memphis because his instructor(?) was there and he knows Paul Frankel. The kid was pretty good back then, kinda cocky but played good. he was always talking about winning Joss NE tournaments and Main state championships... lol

i think he was about 17 then.

After talking himself up for 3 days, Nick Vita offered to play him some even and Mike decided that wasn't a good idea.
