Best serious pool player at golf?

I'd love to hear some about who the best golfers are amongst serious or well-known pool players including handicaps, etc. Always heard stories about how they go hand in hand.

From what I can tell, John Schmidt is clearly the favorite to win against any other pool player.

The others on the list are also very good golfers. Shawn Putnam says he's scratch but others have differed on that point. Says he shot 64 once I believe which is pretty damn good.

Schmidt has shot 62 and a number of other low 60's rounds and used to play with Boo Weekley sometimes.

I will play any of them. Corey is good, Johnny is good. Haven't played with John S. yet. Gabe isn't that good.

I heard Earl is a good golfer.......it's been my experience that guys who like to gamble on golf are usually pretty sporty on the pool table too....

I think you guys have it right. I have played with almost all the people mentioned. Davenport, Earl and JA. I hear Corey is good but not as good asthose guys and JS I hear is good. I got to try and get himto Phoenix in July August to play that makes the game a little different. I played in 117 weather thats the hottest I did here.
Oh Nick Varner plays too but I have not played with him so I can't say about his skill level. I can't think of many others that I have heard can play.

I know this is backwards but Hank Haney is a decent pool player. I saw him run a 9ball rack on an 8 footer.

I hear he is pretty good, too, coming from a friend of mine who has played with him. My friend said something about Putnam always playing from the up tees.

Dunno bout the modern day player/golfer but I know Jon Dovinsky played top shelf pool and was a scratch golfer, Kim Davenport can attest. So was Tommy Sanders...
