Beware JayTS!

My home computer does not ask me for my own passwords. Thank you for trying to play detective but I don't need a story. It's the truth I don't need to lie to people I don't know or care about. Again I appreciate everyone's concern about myself getting robbed and my name slandered over something I had nothing to do with. Good luck to the buyer and good luck to me on finding him and getting money. I hear he will be at Turning Stone this week with Accu-Stats if anyone is going there they can play internet police in person and see for them selves.

Hey JayTS, let me ask you a question. Lets say you bought a high money purchase off a AZ user. He accepted your money and said he would ship you the cue. Two weeks go by and you do not get the cue you paid for. You contact the person you bought the cue and he tells you somebody else took your money and then blocks all communication. How would you feel and what would your expectation be?

For the love of god do the right thing. Its really very simple.

The right thing was done....Give you credit for stepping up and doing the right thing..

The buyer has been reimbursed and I'm out a total of $1200. Just so the entire pool world knows my shortcomings.

Sucks that you lost $1200 in the deal but I am happy you did the right thing here. Lesson learned. Password protect your sh*t so this doesn't happen again.

Jayson, you did the stand up thing. We've met and you seemed like a good guy. I've only heard good things about you. I don't blame you for being bummed out at having to make this right. My dealings with the idiots surrounding our game have never turned out good, even when we were supposed to be on the same "team". Be careful about who you let get close to you. I sent a little green rep your way for what it's worth.

Hopefully you've filed criminal charges against the douche who stayed at your house

Agreed, great job. I know you probably feel pretty crappy about the loss of the cash but what is a good reputation worth?

As a note, firefox has what's called a master password. You can enter the passwords for all your sites which are encoded and saved and you only have to enter the master password once when you first open firefox then all the passwords are there. It's a great idea for people that have multiple passwords for different sites.

Thanks but I think it all boils down to just not help anyone who has nothing to lose. True friends are hard to come by these days. I treated this guy like any one, a true friend. I've learned my lesson and it could have been far worse for me. Good luck to me at derby.

If the buyer sent you $600 and your buddy stole $600 out of your paypal and you sent the buyer his $600 back how are you out $1200? wouldn't you just be out the $600 your buddy stole?

Good for you doing the right thing and sending the guy his money back. I hope the guy gets what is coming to him down the road, karma can be a mfer.

P.S. Positive rep sent.

Now you have done the right thing. :clapping:

Why would you not follow through and file charges on this guy? Why let him off to go do this to someone else?

Please follow through on this, it's the right thing to do! :)

Good luck at the derby Jay! Karma has it's way but I'm thinking you'll be ok now.

New thread maybe?

I think there needs to be some more information put out there about the OP that seems to be traveling around ripping people off. This guy is dropping a lot of names and reputable companies to get in the door. Lets see who this David King guy is, it seems he knows us...

Most browsers do NOT ask you if you want your password saved on secure websites (unless you're using a really crappy or old version).

I worked as an IT executive for years, and as an IT consultant, as well as doing computer forensics.

Most people aren't savvy enough to do it? Really? Then why is it such a pervasive problem?

The answer is that most people aren't savvy enough to know NOT to do it.

I wasn't guessing here. But thanks for the uninformed lecture.

If this is true,,I apologize for my earlier post. This shows allot about what is going on here and makes you much more credible,,IMO. (no matter how it went down)

Now,,,good luck getting your money back from the one that is at fault.

I read over all of jayts posts and i do not see where he is out any other money then the 600 in cash he claims was stolen he never said he was out anything on paypal and from what I understand it was sent to his account, so to send him back his money wouldnt put him out anything. This all seems fishy to me.
