From a hypothetical standpoint, that would be a pretty good score for guys named David who live in the North Carolina area.

I agree, in reality all that matters is the original poster was paid.
It's good that JayTS was able to step up, too bad it had to come down to a negative thread and negative Itraders before the issue was resolved.
 
Black Balled is completely right, 600 from the cue that was sold + 600 from my house = 1200. There are many ways to transfer money out of Paypal without sending it to my personal bank account.

Uwate hit the nail on the head. That was my reason for hesitation on paying this guy. I actually spoke to the buyer on the phone less than one week after the cue was sold and told him if it didn't show up that I would refund his money. The OP forgot to mention any of that though. There are a couple other thing that the buyer exaggeraged about but I didn't feel it necessary to call him out on details because he is the victim in this situation.

EasyEJL...Not really related to the thread, but you're incorrect about the engagement ring. If either party (or both by agreement) break the 'engagement', the woman is required to return the ring. BTW, this exact scenario was just on Judge Judy.

On topic, I hope davidhop gets his cue or his money back! :D

I did get the refund. My main problem with this entire deal was the fact that Jason blocked all contact with me. He blocked my phone number, text messages, even facebook. I really appreciate the fact that he did send me a refund, but I was doing business with him, not his roommate. Thanks everyone for your help in getting this matter resolved. Jason did do the right thing in the end.
 
Good for Jason, on issuing a refund to davidhop! If I were Jason, I would track King down, and TAKE my money from him...in one way or another. I hope some of you guys, who red repped Jason, will now go and give some positive rep, for doing the right thing.

Jason...Good luck in getting your "due" from David King. He sounds like a real A$$, and karma will catch up with him, at some point!:angry:

Blocking calls and messages from the start would bring the suspicion of doubt upon you. Bad move.

He did do the right thing and that is commendable.
Sad that he is out that much money tho. Seems this Dakota guy attends
a lot of Tournaments that you guys go to. Be nice if he were to get a bit of Karma over the back of his head. Quite possible that he reads AZ so he may be laying a tad low for some time. AZ Family is pretty strong. Maybe Jason will mysteriously get his money back some day.
Lets hope.

Guess it doesn't pay to be a nice guy and try and help people out any longer.
Also nice that he has some friends that did vouch for him. That helps.

Ways to get money from PP. None of these listed would allow someone else to get money from your account. What am I missing Jay? Exactly how did he get the money from your account into his pocket??

I want to summarize the transaction for everybody.

David Jason paid Jason David $600 for a Jerry Pechauer Cue. David Jerry absconded with David Jason's/Jason David's cue and $600, so David Jason is out the cue plus $600, or $1200 total, and Jason David is out $600 he didn't get plus $600 cash and the cue worth $600, or $1800 total. Then Jason David covered the David Jerry theft so he refunded $600 to David Jason, who is still out the $600 cue, leaving Jason David out the original $1800 plus the $600 he refunded to David Jason, or $2400 total. So David Jerry owes David Jason $600 and Jason David $2400, $3000 total plus a $600 Jerry cue, or $3600.

It's a good thing I have experience with US government budgeting!

You forgot the other options. King could have sent the money from Jays account to his own Paypal account or to his girlfriends paypal account as gifts... Or he could have bought his GF or himself a 600.00 gift off ebay etc..

I ask why no charges have been filed, got no answer.

Even gave the dude a greenie fer doin the right thing.

O well, there are several reasons why no charges would be filed. Maybe he is afraid of the guy, Maybe the guy knows something. Shame to enable the guy to do this same thing to others..:(
