**** BIG TIME KERSENBROCK**** Ivory, Silver, Engraving...... WOW

not a joke

Don't know him, but I really have to believe that rheester was joking, given who the cuemaker is.

Lot of excellent little details in this cue design. Wish I could see it up close, like in my hands!

yes i do know who he is, that's why i was surprised at what i saw. it was merely an observation. a closeup of the points would give everyone a better idea.

Ken,

This DPK is one of the very best cues to make the pages of this forum in years. I know how special his work is, and to have the amount of tedious work done by David in a cue that looks unbelievable both up close and from several feet away not only is a testament to his caliber of work, but speaks to how fortunate we are to just get a peek at this level of cue.

Let me repeat: Unbelievable! And thanks for taking such good pictures to let us all in on his genius.

Take care,

Will

Hey Guys,
All the inlay on this cue were done by hand.. As it looks to be repeated around the cue, no 2 inlays are exactly the same.. All the hand scrim, is exactly that, hand done. All the Statue of Liberties are unique, and the scrim in the ivory is the same design elements but not the same..
This is a hand done one of a kind cue. David wanted this cue to be a freehand piece of art, not a perfect piece of machinery..
I know it is tough with todays advanced techniques in CNC and pecision craftmanship for a cuemaker to built a piece of art in an old school way.
The lines are as you see, straight from Davids hand..
David isn't making many cues, and I can appreciate the time it took him to complete it.. Truely one of a kind..
Best,
Ken

ken i just cant stop looking at this cue......it is not my style but man it is just unreal how GREAT THIS CUE IS.....you know when something is not your style but you just cant stop admiring the work.....it must be something special....thanks for showing us all the great work of DPK....mickey

This cue rocks and David's work is incredible. I wouldn't compare CNC to a pantograph or visa versa, just 2 different ways to get what the CM wants to accomplish.
Regardless of how it was made this is art.:thumbup2:

just saw this for the first time today...

Hey AZer's,
Here is a picture of a NEW unchalked David Kersenbrock...
Just don't see them Fancy like this..
Silver Statue of Liberty inlays, Ivory Points with engraving, also other silver engravings.
Beautiful Purpleheart..
David made this cue with a metal joint, which is very rare..
Also used Micarta ferrules..
Having the cue wrapless just tops it all off..
Enjoy the pictures..
I will be making this cue available for sale... please serious inquiries on this big cue.
Best,
Ken Kerner

Ken,

This cue is "delicato" and truly an artful expression by the hand of the man DPK, who BTW is my idol as a "Rockstar Cue Maker". His use of silver has been well documented and chronicled over the years and his methods and use of chemistry to present silver adornments on cues has truly raised the bar of expectation for all who came after or who have been inspired by his genius.

I grew up in Chicago and was friends with John Wright for over 35 years and was in a unique position to view David's works up close over a long period of time. In the 70s Joe Dias owned the Silver Angel Cue and I was able to see it many times and it truly was a masterpiece without any comparison. That remains true 35 years later.

This cue you present which is less ostentatious and does not make the bold statement as did the Silver Angel but somehow through the evolution of this artist makes just as big a statement as it is "delicato" and represents this stage of his work. Less is more.

Good luck with your sale. Pricing this cue is a job I don't envy. Who ever gets this cue will truly own a most prized possession.

I wish I could see the details of the silver and engraved ivory a little closer.

Obviously the visits to the safe are few and far between if you forgot about this masterpiece.
Something special with the design of this cue.
