Billiards Babe

I knew the title of this thread would get your attention!

It seems that in today's pool advertising market and media stream, sex sells more than good pool playing.

Now, I know this Billiards Babe can play her some good pool, but I personally can't stand seeing pool sold like this.

For the Jasmin fans, here's the article: http://sports.rightpundits.com/?p=879

You can see Jasmin Ouschan on ESPN Saturday, as they will be airing the semi-final match between she and Ga Young Kim (she lost to Kim) at the Generationpool.com 9-Ball Championships. The event was held last month in Charlotte, North Carolina.

There's a video interview of Jasmin on the above link.

She is quite a pretty young lady, even if she can play pool! :p

This Thread reminds me of the poster of the old bitty protesting in front of Hooters.Marketing 101---Sex sells.Get over it. By the way, she is no Bianca Beauchamp!

JAM didn't say Jasmin used sex to sell pool. She was talking about avatars like for example the avatar I am using right now.

HAHAHAHA! :D

i think these sentences then the immediate reference to the article is why people are taking it this way.

so i guess it wasnt just me that needed to "go back and read the whole thead". yep jam i have pretty good reading comprehension and i and apparently everyone else "got" what you were saying even if you didnt. you had to know that just by using that title for the thread that it was going to be somewhat controversial, then you got it and youre like "hey thats not what i meant, read the whole thread and you'll see what i really mean". we did read the whole thead and we did see what you meant. we just dont see your point.

anyway jasmin is a great player. i'm sorry i wont be able to catch her on tv today, but i did get to watch her defeat alison last night in a rebroadcast of the 06 enjoypool finals. nice mental toughness in a come from behind victory over arguably the best woman play ever. not bad at all. and that had NOTHING to do with how she looked.

You might have good reading comprehension, but I am having difficulty understanding your post, the way it is written.

Please don't state what my opinion is. I have explained it several times in this thread.

You are certainly entitled to yours, however.

so now you feel like you have to attack me personally? ok then whatever.

yes you certainly are entitled to your opinion jam. thanks for using the rest of you posts to clarify what exactly your opinion is on this topic.

If Bianca Beauchamp could string a few racks of 9 ball together television revenues would be off the chart allowing more coverage and enthusiasm for pocket-pool.

How did I attack you, Brian? I politely said that you are entitled to your opinion, and to please not state what mine is.

The way your post was written, I did have trouble understanding it.

I apologize to you if you think I was attacking you. I truly was not.

This thread, however, will multiply in hits because it is turning sour.

I apologize to the readers of this forum for initiating this thread. I never meant to state anything untoward about Jasmin, the pool champion. I hope I have provided enough clarification at this juncture before this thread turns into a full-blown flame.

To clarify, you were addressing a different Brian. I do not feel attacked. It is difficult to take most of what is written seriously enough to feel attacked. The thread will multiply in hits only because you feel a need to respond to every post as if it somehow personally affects your world.Better you should lighten up and appreciate the entertainment value of AZB.

You are right. For most, this forum is a form of entertainment for the majority of members. What some find entertaining, others find distasteful. What some find distasteful, others find entertaining.

However, if my opinion is misrepresented, I do feel I should reply with a clarifying post.

And as such, the other poster's name is Brian too, just for your own clarification. :)

well i thought i was going to be done with this thread, but since jam decided to address me with a question i guess i have to.

how did you attack me personally?

"but I am having difficulty understanding your post, the way it is written."

there was in fact nothing difficult to understand about what i posted. even if you had a difficult time understanding it why say so? to me this constitutes an attack.

as for this thread turning sour i tried to get out on a postive note and bring the thread somewhat back on topic at the end of post #46, but i guess you werent having any that.

i'm not trying to flame you jam, but i'm not going to let the attack slide either. its amazing how many of your threads end up turning sour.

JAM,

Jasmin is HOT and she plays a strong game of pool. You can't fault her for her good looks when it helps her career along with her ability and talent. If she didn't look as good as she does we wouldn't be reading this thread and you'd be writing about someone else. Sex is a strong marketing tool and some women are blessed more than others.

This picture is one of the best i've seen of Jasmin and i'll be sure to watch her play Ga Young Kim today. Ga Young Kim isn't too bad herself!

I am sorry you feel that way.

It seems no matter what I post in recent times, it is misinterpreted.

Again, I apologize for you thinking that I was attacking you. I did have trouble understanding the words you had written, but it may be because of my job. An occupational hazard, if you will.

My threads turn sour because I am hated on this forum today by quite a few members who think I am no good.

I received a post from a dear friend who is an industry member in recent times. I am sure he will read this post here too. He was upset because I would not own up to knowing him on this forum when his good name was attacked, but I had my reasons.

I am sorry that you feel I was attacking you.
