Billys Response

The self righteousness on this forum is truly astounding. I guess I ought to be glad I never got good enough to be a well known pro. I’d have been crucified by you people. And if I published half the crap I know on some of the most beloved pros over the last 30 years they would be too. I wonder how people would react to knowing the name of one of the most respected pro players alive who asked a shortstop from Oklahoma—in the middle of a tournament no less—if he had any cocaine and when the guy said no (because he didn’t do drugs) he replied, “Well what f—cking good are you?!” Or another one who when in private loves to rail on minorities, referring to them by a dictionary of racial slurs? Or (as I mentioned in another thread) my old mentor (rest his soul) who introduced me to qualudes when I was a teen and was known for one his favorite lines, “I just pop a green and a blue and a yellow and wait for the glow.” He is idolized by everyone on this forum. I watched a US Open winner who’s considered by many to be the greatest nine ball player ever completely lose it over CHALK at a tournament in OKC. He actually assaulted the other player by hitting him in the face with the cube of chalk. He wasn’t even removed from the tournament. I could go on. I’ve seen multiple pros do worse than anything Billy is being canceled for (and yes that IS what is happening). And many of you guys have too. I know damn well Jay has seen shit from pros that would likely entail jail time if it was known. I’ll tell you what makes Billy different. He committed the unpardonable sin: he got caught on camera. Personally I hope he stands his ground and tells everybody to go know themselves in the King James Bible sense. He’s gonna be ruined anyway so at least he can have the pride of keeping his balls intact. Then all you self righteous virtue signaling hypocrites can get what you deserve: one less great American pro on the way to a dead sport.

There is the double 'aa' in Quaalude! lol

I've personally seen a professional player break a southwest cue in a money game in the 90's. Who cares about some misspoken words, pissing match or argument. I mean really a SOUTHWEST cue for gods sake.

Billy’s still a kid. I’m sure he learned a lesson. Perhaps not to the depth some of us are aware he could. But at the same time we are likely projecting our disappointment with our younger selves onto him. Because at his age, it wouldn’t have fully sunk in for me. I can give him a pass on this one. I doubt he’ll flip his lid over pool anytime soon. I imagine this last response was your basic ego defense mechanisms kicking in. I could see myself doing that at one time.

I never suggested I was a spelling teacher dipshit. What’s your point? Not spelling something right is a big deal? Truth is I don’t know how to spell marijuana either but my iPhone does. I guess if I got that wrong you’d see something significant about that too. The idiocy on this forum is astounding.

If it makes you feel better I would have knocked Billy on his ass a few minutes into his tirade. Would have probably been doing him a favor.

Yep. Me too. Like I said, every young man should have his ass whipped at least once. It’s a humbling, character building experience.

A game that celebrates gamblers thieves and general scumbags but then wants to judge a young guy who drinks a little to much and gets into a tussle LOL I love this game but there’s a reason why it will never Be legit in the eyes of the world in this country

Yeah and apparently the worse thing is pool players who misspell “quaaludes”. If we Americans could only spell better it would all change.

Yep... ...and there's been a major up tick since some have become real active in viral Billy threads. ;)

I don't have a problem with Billy's little acknowledgement of a meme pointing out how the masses like to pile on when people fail. It's true, and good for him to push back a little. I don't think his publicized regret isn't any less genuine (if it ever was) merely because he's frustrated with all the hate aimed in his direction.

Now, the use of "ain't" is a different manner all together.

But the real question is if Billy can spell “quaaludes”. That’s the important thing. Just ask the dipshit quoted above. If not I say he should be executed. At least he spelled ain’t correctly.

Oh I’ve got one (as my posts prove) but I can’t spell it. Admittedly though it takes more to make me laugh than grammar. I must be a happy life that can laugh out loud when someone misspells hydrocodone and shit like that. Alas I usually need something more intellectually stimulating. Sarcasm. Irony. BLM protesters setting themselves on fire trying to burn the American flag. You know, insignificant shit like that.

You can't force someone to be sorry. You can make them say sorry, but that's entirely different. You can even inflict hardship on them (boycott/outcry), but they're then usually just sorry for themselves. Public, forced apologies are best left to communist dictatorships, they serve no purpose, other than to fool the gullible into thinking a person has changed or validate a corrupt regimes trumped up charges. Nobody is fooled, nobody learns anything. If a person is sorry, they can show it with deeds, otherwise don't come with that fake sorry face and crocodile tears. If an apology is genuine (and you can always tell) it's a starting point, nothing more.

While I don’t do drugs, yes I believe people should be allowed to. And as for assault: 1. Two men should be able to settle their differences with fists if they so choose. To deny that right is not progress but rather it’s opposite. It is the arrogance of modernity that sees our miserable ways as superior to how men have settled matters for millennia. 2. To my knowledge no one was physically harmed by Billy. I’ve seen worse on the playground from children. I personally believe Robb should have whipped his ass if Billy was indeed completely in the wrong and that such would have done the young man much more good than anything that has either happened to him so far or that is being promoted by the virtue signaling eunuchs on this forum. Every man should have his ass whipped at least once in his life. It is humbling and builds character.

Billy only has to answer for billy's actions.
When you get pulled over for speeding, stating everybody else is speeding too is irrelevant.

And I'm sure Robb can get an even bigger spot, if he wants to fight Billy for the cash.

Billy knew he messed up. He immediately went into damage control mode, but unfortunately isn't very good at it. Now he is in "I'm being persecuted" mode. What he really needs to be is in silent mode and by his actions show the public and possible sponsors he has changed, if he has. Wouldn't hurt to lay off the alcohol, he doesn't handle it very well.

I told the story in my second book about the time I got slapped silly by a behemoth named Eddie Henderson when he found out I had been talking about him behind his back. I NEVER forgot that lesson!

Even though he was wrong, 30 years ago it would have just been two guys who got into it over a pool game. Today our actions and words are monitored and can be shared world wide with just a push of a button. Hopefully billy learned a lesson from this and move forward.

Excellent observation. Billy, like many others, is an intense person and competitor. Most of his mentors are probably from the poolrooms. I just hope he looks forward to his future and makes appropriate changes. It has already cost him money and reputation. Give the kid a break.....
