Bonus Ball Playoffs ******

Yeah, Rob Ford. Torontos soon to be ex mayor.

No doubt he hangs with Chibbs.

Forget BB anyway. CJ has the main page filled up with other ways to spend your Christmas money.

Grab your Bonus Balls like Michael Jackson. Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Tis the season to be gay, Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Bonus Ball players ain't gettin no pay, Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Hello Matt,
What Michaela is referring to is on the re-break. Our re-break occurs when the bonus ball is the last ball on the table. The team shooting will then attempt to MAKE the bonus ball AND open the rack.
The change has come when the bonus ball is MISSED. It used to be that the oncoming team had the option of playing the table as it lied, or re-breaking. The change eliminates the option. If the bonus ball is missed, it's considered an illegal break, and the oncoming team simply re-breaks from behind the head string with a new rack.
Thanks for the question and your interest! The re-break also has different ramifications for using your own pocket or the opponent's when the bonus ball is MADE. I try to explain those differences when the situation arises in a match - which is much easier than getting into detail here. Again, I appreciate the question, and will be happy to answer others!

The option of taking the table as it lies was to eliminate all the ridiculous re-racking, so I was told. You miss the bonus ball but open up the rack the incoming team should have that choice, makes perfect sense. The game drags on long enough now, why eliminate that option if it speeds up the game. The commander n' chief has become ruderless! What next, the Bonus Ball girls having white gloves too! :D

Sounds like my job. "Oh, the invoice is past due? Could you send me a copy?" ... "Could you send me a POD?" ... "I need a W-9 before I can release a check." ... "We'll cut the check on the next run." ...a couple of months after original call... "It's on the way."

I had to claim $$ through the UCP of CA for an address that I was at for only a year or so. Took me forever to find proof of me living there. They took the entire 180 days after that before sending the check. Of course, I was also surprised they didn't just play the bankrupt card.

I use the w-9 all the time too!

The trick is to only ask them for one thing at a time and always wait for them to call you first. After all, you're the one with the money. I use those more of as an excuse for forgetting. :o We did about $1M/wk last year, so things fall through the cracks.. just gotta learn how to play it off.

Edit: Damnit, what the hell are you doing dragging quotes into the wrong threads.. you're going to hell!

Bob Ford is one of the investors so its not out of the question that its the Mayor who smoked crack. Just because of the Canadian Connection.

Hey there, Mark. Planning on a BBQ any time soon? I haven't heard about a schedule yet, but I'm going ahead and assuming that you plan on hitting the road again this spring.

If somebody wants to smoke crack in their spare time, that's up to them. Just make sure the Bonus Ball funds are in place first!

Am I missing something????

In the player stats it shows Darren ahead of Toasty; however, across the board Toasty's stats are better, what kind of fuzzy math are they using for this?

They played the same number of games, but toasty has fewer errors, more points, more assists, a higher run, more games won and fewer lost, how is he below Darren???

Did you expect them to get anything right? EVER? Lol

Bonus Balls will NEVER survive PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. There are WAY to many nuances to learn in the game. (Target Shots, Continuation Shots etc......)
2. This game will never take off because you can't play with out a professional score keeper. Nobody will be able to keep track of the points scored not to mention keeping track of what color ball you should be shooting and what color ball you opponent is coming back to when he/she gets back to the table.
3. The Bonus Ball people have an end game of having nationwide BB leagues, this idea is a total joke because of what I listed above.

It's not really hard at all. Here's one way to keep track, as explained months ago by nathandumoulin:

"Do you know coin trick? None of us actually use the scoreboard here at the studio, we all use coins.

-> Each diamond represents 3 points, so you want to move your coin 10 diamonds to get to 30 points. Half diamond if you sink purple, and then onto the next diamond if you sink orange. That gives you 3pts, which is why your coin would stop under a diamond. Full diamond jump for the BB, since its 3pts on its own.It makes it easy, because if you come to the table and your coin is under a diamond, you automatically know you're on purple. If not, you're on orange. Same with your opponent, so its instinctive to always know what ball both players are on."

That Nathan's a real smart cookie.
He's changing the pool world.

Wow you'd think the BB crew would do all they can to keep their investors away from AZ... Especially since we are not the target market..... errr wait someone said they will be doing league now??

Well that seems strange since leagues happen in poolrooms and most likely there would be very few pool rooms without an AZer or 2 in it across the country... Wonder how that negative PR works out for them when a league starts to organize in your neck of the woods???

I love what Joe Tucker is trying and I think a lot of AZers are behind him and they are having problems getting rooms started... Can you imagine how much harder it would be for him if all the AZers pushed against him instead of pulling for him???

Moot point here in Knoxville tho... No rooms left to run a league =( I'll have to drive to Nashvile or Chattanooga to horselaugh any attempts... It's only a cpl of hours to either so I don't mind roadtrips....

Sounds like a pain in the ass to me...lol

Hi Bob, I don't believe I know you. I have not been paying much attention to Bonus Ball. Are you new wit them? what is your position with the WPBL? Are you the new point man that can assist people with BB issues? Please let us all know. thanks

Sorry for the delay, on holiday's with family and spending the days with my granddaughter. I unofficially have the title of director of amateur leagues which will happen in the next few weeks. Part of my job is to help Larry with day to day business and I have offered to "try and put out fires". Although I have very little billiard experience I have thoughts on how we can be part of the solution and not part of the problem in regards to making all billiards a stronger industry. Time will tell I guess. I don't think point man would be correct as I always played center in hockey. Assistant sounds better. Thank you

He made it into the Bonus Bracket, which as you all know, is worth double points.

I would suggest you do some reading of previous threads on here and see how well other BB employees have done at putting out the fires. As you will see, they failed miserably.

How about you tell Larry to run it like a real business and hire an official spokesperson?

you have 4 wks till D-Day.
- is everything locked? -As far as I know
- all players committed to showing up?- That's why we have alternates but yes
- all expenses & reservations completed?- Players are paid as to how far they go
- prepaid wages guaranteed?- Other than the pros, yes except mine. I work for free
- DATES CONCRETE????- Mailed out 1000 post cards with 1000 more on their way. you bet they are. We have 36 players a reff. from over seas plus plus, took some time.

i ask, cause we will be @ WMC (World Market Center - those 3 6Million sf buildings @ end of Strip) @ JAN 25-FEB 2. and we could EXTEND our trip to see BB. but we won't be SCREWED again, as last JUL trip. we need to plan. If you attend look for me and we'll talk.

as well
- NOV semi finals are being aired when?- They are the final matches for the season on now until the end of Jan.
- FEB finals are being aired when/if? -Live PPV mid Jan. announcement
- is BB being sold overseas?- Cant go their not my position to discuss
- are the current BB players out of a job after FEB 15...?
-They hopefully will be more than players as you may find out in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your interest. No I am not the mayor of Toronto, I did not shoot Jessie James, and for the record I don't do drugs. I'm high on life.

By chance are you looking for work?

Interesting. Bob played Hockey.

Must be Canadian and from Winterpeg also.

I heard that the Blue Bombers were going to play Hockey next year, cause they can't play Football.
