Shuffy!
It has been my pleasure to call Brandon the VA State 9 Ball Champion for 2 years now. But the greater pleasure for me is to call him my friend for years before that. When I was out trying to get the State Championship on the map as the showcase of talented poolplayers in Virginia, Brandon was one of the first I met on the road promoting. He was always polite, showed interest and was willing to help. He would come to the event every year and say "I am gonna win this year". He didn't always make good on his promise but was always of good cheer and was complimentary of the event. It's funny when I think about it now. The last 2 years he came to town quietly and say "I am just here to play and hopefully do well." Those were the years he played, won and defended his title.
Can't wait to see what this year's championship will hold for Brandon and us all.
Good chatting with you the other night, Shuffy! Let me know if you are back in Richmond any time soon.
