Brazilian Rosewood

For years it has been shipped to other countries then marked as that countries rosewood to elude import restrictions. Usually it will be imported under the new exporting counrties name!
The old expression is fade that! \
Brazilian rosewood has been used for years in guitars especially just not called that. A rose is a rose no matter what you call it.
It is very possable many cue builders have built cues thinking they were using other simular woods from other countries but unknowingly have been using Brazialian rosewood!
Kinda funny.

why should i ? looks like searing ? if so i still dont know the price !

Guess berny gave it away...:p And price?? Well... i didn't think this was the FS section but if you were asking what i paid for it i believe it was about four hundred ninety nine dollars and 99 cents. Seller wanted $550 but i would not budge as it did not come with any type of case and i informed the seller that i would have to fork out additional monies for adequate joint protectors. Have a good one

I COULDN'T LET THE BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD THREAD DIE......

BUILT USING ALL Balabushka PARTS. THE SIGNATURE WAS ADDED DURING A REFINISH, BECAUSE THE CUE HAD BEEN FALSELY SOLD AS A BALABUSHKA. (THE ORIGINAL WRAP WAS RETAINED)

was searching and was unable to find a dedicated thread on it ..

let's see 'em.... :D

have a couple that i might be getting soon ( hopefully ... )

till then am keen to see the variations in the color and grain ...

thanks...
kam

Hey Kam, here is a CA$H cue that has an uncommon variation in the color. Dark, rich brown found in Brazilian mixed with swirls of orange is both uncommon and beautiful, this piece had been sitting for many, many years before it made it's way into a cue.

I have several more seasoned pieces that are making their way into cues, including very special veneered, wrap less, full splice cues.

The Schick is awesome.
I saw some BR that after the first cut looked almost purple. It was an amazing piece of wood that one day everyone will see in cue form.
