Break Cue Recommendations

I am sorry for beating a dead horse with a stick but I am in the market for a break cue and can use some input.

At the top of my list of interest is the Mezz Break cue with the Deep Impact Shaft (not the Power Break II) and the SledgeHammer. Other break cues i've been entertaining are Jacoby Edge, The Heavy Hitter, Poison Break Cue and the Predator BK2.

All of these I have never tried. The only break cues i've tried are the Billiard Warehouse Break cue and the Sniper II.

I appreciate any suggestions:)

Suggestions: Rick Howard "Mace" Jump/Break

Mark Bear Cue with purple heart shaft and hard or phenolic tip.

Ray Schuler with the Super Constant shaft and hard tip.

25oz Masse Cue with hard tip.

Hope these gives you some other options.

Also, go up to Valley Forge this year March 18-21st and try out a bunch of cues. You can probably get a great deal at the expo.

The perfect break cue is the Predator BK2 butt with the OB break shaft in my opinion.

Wow, that's interesting. I absolutely love the OB Break Shaft. I'm not a phenolic guy but the OB gives you that power with control. I use it on McDermott butt. Have to try the BK2 butt though.

I have an OB break cue, and I am very satisfied with the performance. Consistent and strong in my experience.

SNIPER ll --B/j

SNIPER ll Sold by Tony Crosby 727-488-0536 also custom made Randy Mobly's will cost ya.352-592-2476.[I believe DONNY MILL's uses a MOBLY]

nobody mentioned Steve Lomax?
Lots of people use BK2, they are good, but overpriced in my opinion.
Any cue will break well, as long as the tip is hard, and weight/balance fits your play.
my 2 cents

Break Cue Recommendation

I too feel that the Lomax cue is overpriced.

Don't laugh but has anyone tried Lucasi's Big Beulah?

the big beulah has a graphite shaft which turned me off from it. they are releasing a new model here next month with a wood shaft called the big beulah 2... it doesnt look half bad. depending on the price point it may compete with some of the other break cues on the market.

Having owned a BK2, the Mezz PowerBreak, and a Tiger Icebreaker, I would recommend an Andy Gilbert J/B...
Best break cue I have ever used in my life and jumps great as a bonus

If its just off the list you have there then definately the Mezz...
