On a BB with 4 1/2" pockets. Break and try to run out. Any order and BIH after the break. Play 10 racks.

What do you all feel is a average % of RO's for a "A" player= 8/10, for a "B" player 5-6/10, for a "C" player 2- 3/10, for a "D" player 0-1/10.

Does this sound about right? Johnnyt

I'll assume you are talking about any order, not rotation, since your numbers are so high. No BIH.

C and D player won't run 1 out of 10 racks, no way.
B 3 out of 10.
A 6 out of 10.
Pro 8 out of 10.

If the player is a straight pool player, these numbers might go up by one rack.

My opinions of course.

I think all of your numbers are pretty good, Johnny. Maybe the C player number is a little high. I just cannot see the average C player running 2-3 racks out of 10 on average.

I think this exercise is heavily dependent on the break. If you can really crush the rack and get a good spread, you really shouldn't miss at all if you are an A player or better. If you hit the break like me, well you will probably have a mess, especially on a barbox.

Well I suck. Ran 4 racks in 10 and 3 racks in 10. Johnnyt

I wouldn't feel bad. I think with the clusters on a barbox, 4-5 out of 10 is pretty good.

I tried to break and run out in ten ball with BIH after the break. I would do sets of 10 racks (100 total balls). I am averaging about 55 balls out of 100, or 5 balls per rack. That is also with an avg of 3 run outs in 10. I thought I would be better than that. The thing that kills me is there is usually 2 to 3 racks where I only get 1 or 2 balls and get bad position and miss. If I could cut those out, my average would increase tremendously.

This is much harder then one might think. On a 7 foot or 8 foot BB?Running out 15 balls in order with BIH is not easy on a 9,on a BB where clusters are almost guaranteed very tough.

Yeah, at 70 yo my break is not what it use to be:(. But you're right the break is a big part of RO's on a BB...bigger than one might think. Johnnyt

This is 15 balls with no specific order, not in rotation. 15 balls in rotation on a barbox would be down right godly.

On a BB with tight pockets, your numbers may be a little high. I think too many clusters and other traffic would bring those numbers down a little, especially for the B, C and D players.

Johnny, by your other posts, Id say you are a solid B player. 3 out of 10 is what my prediction was for a B player on your question.

Break, ball in hand and ANY order, an A player shouldn't miss a ball. A B player should get out nearly every rack. A C player should run 5 or6 and a D player should run 2-4

You're joking...right? Johnnyt

You are off by a MILE! A D player will not run one rack in 100. BIH doesn't matter. A C player might run 5 in 100. And yes, I know its any order.

Maybe the D and C players are different around here, but on a barbox, A players should not miss a ball. I know of D players that would run at least 3 racks in any order.

So an "A" player in NY should B&R 10 racks on a BB=150 balls w/o a miss? NY players must have come a long way since I left the in 1980. Johnnyt
