Broke my fibula in 2 places 3 weeks ago.
Had surgery wk ago. Haven't hit a ball since
Original fall. I get around with a wheeled
Walker that allows me to rest my knee on
The seat. Afraid this is to big to get around
The table. Worried about stability with a
Knee walker. Anybody been thru this?

I know of at least one guy that has been doing that in one of the local leagues. He's playing pretty sporty!

I haven't personally but my team captain had to a few years ago..He used the knee walker(scooter) and shot great with it...I use to kid him that it kept him from jumping up but he really did play just fine with it..And for a guy that weighs 365 lbs. it was unbelievable..

Broke my fibula

Surely you jest.

When I was a younger lad than I am now, I used to get in trouble with Mom for telling Fibulas.

I broke mine as well, along with my ankle in 3 places. And that my friend, was no joke.

If wheelchairs can navigate around a table.....I don't see much of a reason why a "knee-chair" can't.

Never don played with no sissy skooter, but sure gonna make fun of him when I see him

BlackBalled I thought you were going to rib me about my
" I know I kick better then you" comment from another
Thread. I can't kick now!

Thanks for responses.

Ahh, shit. Forgot I was waiting for you to step out of line...

But since you broke your ankle, guess you actually fell out of line already.

Years ago I smashed my right foot. Was on crutches for 6 weeks. I just hopped to the table, and played on one foot. Wasn't much of a problem at all. Just used the bridge a little more often than usual.

I lost to a guy called 'kickstand'.

He was in a wheelchair, he had one leg. He would wheel to the shot, stand up on one leg, shoot and then do it all over again. Sometimes, if he didn't have to go far, he would hop, using the cue as a staff for support and balance.

He shot well, and moved well, considering.

And yes...he kicked my ass;)

OP..You may want to lock that scooter thing down, putting all that knee weight on it..things might get squirrely ..just sayin:eek:

Thats what i am most worried about. Right handed and broke

That had to sting a little.
If you broke it playing pool, you might want to consider another sport, or at least a different pool hall.

The first thing I would do is go out and buy one of those bridge devices on little wheels so you can shoot with one hand.
I've always wanted to try one><

When I lived in the dallas-fort Worth area , leaving with a broken leg would probably make you the winner.
Move back to South Dakota couldnt take the Texas heat. South Dakota ice is no bargain either
Do play quite a bit with Dave and Danny Olsen good players whom I believe you know
Maybe now my bridge play will have to get stronger
