It goes even further than that.
I asked a Brunswick dealer about the "bro" pricing on a "tournament spec" 9 foot GC-IV,and just the table by itself, without a ball set or house cues, the cost of delivery, cloth, etc is almost 4k more than what a new Diamond Pro WITH the matching light, chairs, and accessories costs and that's DELIVERED.
Personally I love em both, but I personally prefer the SOUND of a ball being hit with authority on the old GC over the Diamond.
I'd take even a Pro-Am Diamond over anything within an hour drive of me though

.
I gotta be honest though, that knock off black/white GC-IV copy they used in this year's World 9 Ball is pimpin'. I saw a gleaming white with brass parts GC-IV somewhere too that would be like my money-is-no-object table for sure too.
The way Diamond has advanced in design and quality though,I can't see Brunswick reclaiming it's former spot in the industry at this point.
The only thing for them to do is try to use modern technology, and combine it with old-school pride in the build quality like they had back in the day,or reverse-engineer and make the GC-VI look like the old, original Diamonds, which looked like an all-wood GC,LOL. Tommy D.
