I am thinking of doing a raffle for one of my 9 foot Brunswick Gold Crown III tables. I have a charity that I would like to raise some money for (Gamers for a cure). Who would be interested in a raffle for 25 spots at a $100.00 a ticket with the proceeds going to the charity. I would ship this table anywhere in the lower 48 states. Set up would be the winners responsibility. The raffle would be for the pre-owned table only. If I get 25 or more people interested I will do the raffle. Please post if you would be interested. links below to the charities web site and the for sale thread of the tables I have.

Looks like I got two takers. I just need 23 more to make this happen. It is for a good cause. 1 in 25 chance to own a pool table.

I really want to do this raffle but it does not seem like to many people are interested. Do I have the ticket price to high? Should I do more tickets for less money? It is for a good cause. Suggestions?

I would go for it at $100 a ticket, but if you want to sell more tickets, yeah...............I think you might consider lowering the price for a single ticket. But $100 for a 1/25 chance at a table shipped to my door??? I'm interested.

Well I am starting to get a few more responses. I want to keep the chance of getting a table low that is why I went with 1 out of 25. If I can get a few more people interested I will start the taking entry money for the raffle. It just may take a little longer to get all the spots filled.

Anybody else interested? I know there has been some bad press about doing raffles lately. This one would be legit and for a good cause. I got about 9 people interested. Anyone else?

Anybody else interested. Once I get about 15 people I will start taking monies and getting the raffle under way.

Who wants a pool table for $100? We're 1/3 there.

Can we choose an 8 footer or the 9 footer? Not everyone has the room for a 9.

i would likely not be in fo a 1/50 chance (if you halved the price).

Just a comment on this. Nothing personal B-B...

If the raffler cuts the price in half, it can do nothing but good things. Those people wanting a 1:50 chance for $50 can buy one slot.

If you want the original 1:25 chance for $100, you simply buy 2 slots. It is exactly the same cost and odds as before except now it is open to more people.

Just a thought :)

I hate to give a flaky response but I'll say that if my Carmeli auction completes in time, I will definitely buy the spot. The only way I wouldn't is if for some reason it doesn't fill and I have to cancel. So count that as a 1/2 spot maybe? :D
