BTW... It needs to be said......

JAM is DA BOMB and AZ Billiards without her is like a book without any text in it.

GET WELL KEITH!

The ONLY problem I have with Jam is how quick she is to pull the "troll" card just because someone doesn't agree with her stance on any topic.

Other than that I think she's good for the forum.

Best wishes to Keith.

it's super simple - nobodies who know nothing feel like they are somebodies when they can attack those who are somebodies and those who know the real deal.

I call them Keyboard Assholes. The fact that they allow themselves to talk about and to people in ways that would get them slapped, punched and shot were they to do it in person is sad. They seem to me to be very socially repressed individuals who perhaps have some major issues that manifest by trolling and attacking and yes, sucker punching verbally.

I have to get some ZEN about it but until then, screw you assholes and all of your kind. Ihave private hopes for all of you and none of it is nice. Gandhi forgive me......

We had a period where Jenny provided us with some of the most beautiful pool writing the world has ever seen. Then when she started getting attacked that prose stopped.

I respect every person's right to an opinion. That is a foundation our country is built on. I do not acknowledge or respect anyone's claimed right to use their "opinion" to harass others, to demean them, to belittle them, to stalk them, and generally be a verbally aggressive asshole. And that includes myself because in the heat of the battle I have been all of the above.

So everyone just be cool and repsect those who do have access to and want to write about the best in our sport.

JAM for President, or at least front office of the 'skins.

And as those who have met her can attest, she is one cool lady. It takes a special kind of girl to be able to hang out in pool room, much less make friends there, and she fits right into our world.

Jam,

Keith does not know me, however, I have known him for about 30 years for his position at the top tier the pool industry. Where I came from, players were judged on cash and Keith cut a wide path wherever he played. I want to extend my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.

Many others have expressed what follows; I will be brief. AZ is fortunate to have industry leaders participate in this forum. Too many members do not show them the respect they deserve. Perhaps they feel these hostile posts elevate themselves to the the leader's level. They do not. There is a hostile, acerbic attitude displayed in too many keyboards that ultimately will divide and separate a group of people who share a common interest in a game we love. There is a way to respectfully disagree if compelled.

So, Jam, tell Keith he has fans yet to meet!

All the best,
Phil

I've spoken with Jenny many times about what goes on here and we've agreed that sometimes staying away is the best thing to do. I've known her, online, anyway, since the old usenet newsgroup days on rec.sport.billiard as I have several others here. She's one of my favorite people I haven't met yet.
Best to her and Keith, always!!

Thank you for the kind words. I truly do appreciate them very much.

I can take the sucker-punches from the multiple-identitied trolls and banned members posting, and the gossipy PM-ers, but when they attack Keith, that's when I get fed up. He's an innocent bystander, and just because forum members do not like me, it should not give them free rein to attack Keith with mean-spirited comments. And the thread you are referring to, that is exactly what happened.

I might as well take this opportunity to ask for prayers. I had to take Keith to an urgent care center this past Sunday, and he is not back up to speed yet. We are praying that whatever it is that ails him, it will subside and go away soon. En route he got a little emotional and said to me, "No matter what happens, I want you to know that I have always loved you." Broke my heart.:frown:

Anyway, I can take a forum punch and keep up with the best of 'em, but my sparring days are behind me. I used to enjoy going to the Redskins games and partying with the crowd, cheering, screaming, drinking, you name it. It never seemed to fail that I'd spill my entire beer on the poor person who was unfortunate enough to sit in front of me. :embarrassed2:

Today, in the autumn of my life, I don't drink, and I'm not much on partying with the crowd anymore. I guess I prefer to sit in the alps and just watch the Redskins game from afar, kind of like what I'll be doing on AzBilliards. It's a better view [pun intended]. ;)

Thanks for being such a great friend and companion to Keith. You gave him a second lease on life and for that you are to be admired. I wish I could bottle the wit and wisdom of Keith McCready. He is truly an American original!

Oh, and he could play a little pool too, in case you didn't know. Keith was the real deal, the ultimate warrior on the pool table. Look out if you got in his way, he mowed them all down like flies for years. Just the sight of seeing Keith walk in the poolroom brought everything to a halt. He had that magic, like Denny Searcy and Bugs before him, to strike fear in the hearts of pool players (and good ones) just by seeing him.

Get well my friend and thanks for the memories. I will keep writing about you forever. The HOF has nothing on you. You are LEGEND!

Jams contributions are priceless.... Period. I think anyone should be able to say anything, BUT have a little respect • please. The folks that caused JAM to take a break were flat out wrong. This is my opinion and mine only. Yall prob would not say it to her face but I can assure yall u would not be disrespectful to her in my face. Period. So yes diff in opinion is fine, but be respectful thats all cause she has alot to offer. And being hard is one thing that I respect but at the same time treating a lady like a lady ( if she deserves it ) takes a much BIGGER man.

See, this is the type of ignorance I have a hard time tolerating. You can assure thousands of strangers that you would force them to bend to whatever 'cookie cutter' idea you have of how they should act? LOL A lot of us are probably bigger, tougher, etc. than you are and bare in mind someone could always just shoot you even if you were King Kong--so please stop trying to sound like you'd clean a room, it's hilariously annoying.

That said, JAM can be personable--she can also be arrogant, condescending, etc. She also has a tendancy to label anyone who she feels doesn't flatter her as a 'troll.' So I can see where all of this animosity would come from--though as is with all humans she is how she is, love her or leave her. Frankly wasting your time liking or hating someone Via the internet seems foolish to me anyways.

Anyways that's how I see it,

There is nothing wrong with a difference of opinion. Why is it so hard for some people to get their point across without being insulting. Best wishes to Keith.

Seems to me she hasn't done enough posting since May of 2014 for you to have come to this conclusion. Somethings not right in Denmark.

You wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley, or a brite alley!

But you do have a point!

I don't exactly need to know someone for twenty-years to get a general perspective on their character. She's commented on enough threads I've read for me to draw the conclusions I have. She's perfectly charming so long as everyone is agreeing with her, or if there is nothing in question to begin with. Like I said, I don't really like or dislike her--she's no different than any other stranger I might pass walking down a sidewalk, just like anyone else who I don't actually know. I'm confident that most of the people here would be fine on a face to face basis--however the anonymous nature of the internet will always bring out a few choice words from people that they may not have used in person.
