Tony played Archie in Vegas one pocket 10 to 2 and the break. Bucktooth said he will take 11 to 2 and the break and he will soot with one hand. Bucktooth would not think of playing Archie. He told Dave to call Tony and get the game on. Tony allready beat Bucktooth 8 to 4 and the break in Sacramento. Looks to me if Bucktooth shot with one hand Tony would have the NUTS...

I think having the occasional "cornfed" on this forum is great. I know this thread is going to turn into everyone bashing bucktooth so I'm gonna put in my 2 cents. First, I dont care if this is bucktooth or not, hes funny. He does "drive by woofings" and never responds to the nay sayers calling him bucktooth. I say we all just relax and either laugh or ignore the posts. Either way he keeps us up to date on the west coast action. I hope it IS bucktooth and he decides to contribute more to the forums.

Bucktooth was here in Modesto a couple weeks ago but never got any action down...I think it had something to do with his unwillingness to play ANYTHING that wasn't a gimmick game, some kind of trap action like the game described in the posts in this thread. He was offered all he wanted playing golf on the 5x10 we have here in town, and he could have his choice of at least 6 guys, probably alot more. We hope to see him back soon, maybe this time he'll bring his stick AND his wallet!...........Marc

If someone wants to give up a huge spot just maybe they have over estimated their game or under estimated their opponet's game. Action is action, sometimes players play even and when we all want to play a Champion and be able to beat them it may just take a good spot to count the Cheese at the end of the game. The opposite is also true, if you get a bad spot your opponet will be counting Your Cheese.
The question is do we really want to WIN? If so, we may need a good spot to beat someone better than ourselves and play well when we get the spot or we could still loose.

With spots you can play anyone, you can learn from the best and if you get the right spot you may even win some money. Not everyone of us has the master's touch of Efren, Earl, Dennis, or Archer but we can certainly play them if the spot is right. Competition is a lot of fun and a good even game balances out the weaker player's game from those who do not need a spot.
I once played Jose Parica and he spotted me 10 to 5 in one pocket and in 3 games I only got 1 ball and he shot in that ball for it was hanging. We were playing for $50 a game. Even though I had a big spot I was loosing for I had not been playing for over 5 years.
Since I didn't pocket get any balls I said to him look, I will play you for a couple hundred a game if you give me 11 to 4 but he wanted to play for only $100 a game. With that spot I was not about to loose and I then beat him 4 games in a row and he and his backers said that's enough.
Spots balance the game and sometimes if you can get the right spot the odds are in your favor and all of a sudden your stoke kicks in as well and you have an advantage and win.

BuckTooth actually got the 6 ball one time from Dan Louie playing 9 ball and after the session had started The Tooth saw that he could WIN and he then kicked into a higher gear with his stroke and Danny told me that The Tooth started playing almost as good as he was playing and he didn't really need the spot.
I think spots actually take some of the pressure off of your game and your confidence goes up and then you can get sometimes into dead stroke and you may be shooting as well as your opponet who may very well be the stronger player.
