I was down practicing at the pool room the other day with my head phones on. A friend walks up and said "how can you hit balls with those things on?" I said it all depends on what you listen to!....hear...put em on....:D

Hehe, I dig the B52's too, Gerry. Sometimes I feel superstitious about pool music...I once snapped two nine balls in a row while listening to "Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am" by Charles Mingus on the ipod. Hasn't happened since, but I'll keep trying!

barely better than the whip it, whip it good i first thought of.

i'm lissening to euro 08 qualifier but more randomly eddie wedders into the wild.

i randomly also poke a bugger or 2 cuz im zhick.. (im good at that)

John Legend - "Used To Love You"

Getting ready to switch it up and throw some old Eminem on :) !!!!!

The song really getting me feeling like playing pool lately is that Kanye "Stronger" even thought I don't think it's that good of a song, the beat is sick and the chorus makes me want to demolish the balls.

While practicing at home, if I have music on it's generally light classical ... lyrics tend to be distracting at best, and the 3-minute-radio-runtime songs end up being too choppy ... no continuity. The other night it was Nigel Kennedy playing The Four Seasons, other favorites include the Brandenburg Concertos and almost anything Mozart ... but no dirges.

I like John Legend's music too! Nowadays I am listening to Timbaland which is not that bad, however for pool I usually put these kinds of music aside and listen to jazz (big band and Bebop are preferred to anything else).

The B-52's music will make you take off for sure. Got to be 9 ball music though, not for one hole. :)

I watched the video of Planet Claire and I probably need to ingest whatever they ingested for the video.

I haven't heard Neils Feijen's music yet but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that some of us will be listening to his music before long. :D

Listening to light jazz or someone like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin just seems like great pool music. Reminds me of how it may have been "back in the day."
Blues music is A-OK also.

yea man!....every time I hear the B-52's I start looking for a dollar bill to roll up!;) and I get the shakes!!:D

I remember seeing them at the Tower theater in Philly with Elvis Costello and The Stray Cats....that was the first nite I ever got searched going into a concert!....they never found my stash!

If i'm "up" I like Monster Magnet and when I'm down 7Mary3. Right now I the Pizza Tapes CD is in the player. Thats Garcia,Grismon and Rice. I don't listen to anything while I play though, but in the house and car it can vary wildly.

i love listening to stevie especially his version on lil wing when i'm playing.
stones are cool too.

i'm a metalhead from way back but i need some grove when playing.

I'll generally go with whatever's on the jukebox but I can only do so much country or hip-hop. That's when I have to put some U2 on. I love hearing the intro to "Where The Streets Have No Name" while I'm playing!:D
