LOL... I didn't know Mark Twain said that. I attempted to find the exact quote but all I could find from him was, "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying that I approved of it." Which is quite hilarious I might add.

I gave up on my research because it became way too depressing reading about funerals...

It isn't a quote, Tom and Huck attended their own wake for the fun of it. In real life Marty Robbins "died" three times before it took too and read his own obit's twice.

There wasn't any major drama in Fatboy leaving so I suspect that Fatboy is just taking a hard look at time management. He is working his butt off at the moment and trying to find time to get some tests ran on his back. These forums take a backseat. They do for me too. I am headed out this morning to do some work in my shop and do some consulting for the machine shop owner next door. I'll catch up this evening if I have time.

Not so long ago, we put thought into our posts, edited them, considered them in light of what others had posted, then posted.

Now, it reminds me of chat rooms 10 years ago. Interesting, but ultimately a total waste of time. Is that the way this forum is going, too?

Lately this forum has turned into 99% bull$hit.

The occasional "worthwhile" thread gets about 2 responses and ends up on page 3 in a matter of minutes - wiped away by what I call "garbage threads".

This forum used to be about the game of pool. I haven't figured out what this forum is about anymore. Unless I'm playing, I don't care who is matching up with who. Really, I don't. Lately, this place has turned into a "barking railbird convention". That'll probably piss some people off. I'll get comments, but then again I've been around too long to really care what anybody thinks about me. Just remember, I base my opinion from the standpoint of being on this forum since before 2003.

First, I liked Fatboy. He kept things "spicey" and took a voluminous amount of kidding and ridiculing in stride. I never read where he went on "tilt" towards some of the morons here. I liked his gambling bravado, although I thought him posting he was on LSD and looking for rocks was just unnecessary "fluff" and sounded kind of dumb for a man his age to post publically. All in all, I give him a B+ as a poster.

Now, my grandmother used to play a game called bingo. A bunch of old ladies (and some of you reading this) like that game. I have not had the pleasure of playing bingo, so instead, allow me to temporarily turn AZB into AZBingo and compliment the brethren here for the fine, funny and poignant posts they included in this thread.

If I include your number here, it's because I really liked or laughed out loud with your post....4...6...8...9*...15...20...21(because you mentioned Accu-Stats)...22...25...28 ('zup Jimmy!)...29...30...31...32...35*...38...39...43...44...45...46...48...53...54...62...63. Lastly, since Fatboy ain't going to post for a while, and since the volume of threads and posts is going to drop down about 14%, I hope Mike won't have to lay off anybody from AZB, unless it's his "server tech's", who play so badly at keeping this site up that they couldn't play dead in a cowboy movie.

I thought everything was fine. I felt Fatboy gave sincere posts and could take the punishment some people dished out to him for his admittedly prolific and personal postings.

I didn't read anything about him getting noticeably offended and I didn't see any egregious posts* against him. I guess something happened behind the scenes, 'cause I sure didn't read about anything here.

There seems to be a segment of the population (=YOU) that automatically discounts legitimacy of a friendship if there is a disparity of incomes.
