Sorry, this was in response to JB saying he's still posting at www.Jimboarmy.com. Aug. 8th was his last log in there.
That definately was his number (probably still is). Area code is TN. That message is typical when they are shutting off service. He's probably sleeping under a bridge somewhere. Unfortunately he has your cue and alot of people's money. Karma will get him.

Very astute observation sir. No wonder you do so well for yourself flipping them cues. I WAS a paid member on this forum from the time it was available til around last January or so. I also will never list a cue for sale here or take an order from here again. I get them weekly and direct them to my other avenues of business.
I will chime in here and there that is all.
Paid member? In my current reality, i am lucky to have internet access from month to month...let alone afford a membership fee. The better solution to the problem would simply be that if you wish to buy and/or sell on AZB, there should be a separate, more complete registration for that privilege. Think of the possibilities a separate registration could provide....members could make up 'Wish Lists' and receive an email notification if a particular cue came available...in fact, since I am sure there is already something set up for the AZB Marketplace...integrate it into the WFS as too. Maybe making the WFS a Co-Op might work too.....has for REI for years.
Honestly...I believe the powers that be would do something, if there was something viable to do. Noodling up suggestions is a step in the right direction.

Of course, then you run into the problem that this website become a "for profit" business right? As of now, they don't make anything do they? That opens up a whole other set of issues for the owners/moderators.
If you want to pay me, I'll moderate. I'm on here ALL THE TIME anyway. Just ask my fiance'! She let's me do pretty much whatever I want but when she see's me on AZ... she just laughs and says OF COURSE!!!

So, at this point no one here has seen or heard from Hangemhigh for over two months? No AZ members live in Jackson who see him around the pool rooms? One thing I know about pool players is they can't stay away from the pool rooms.
Regardless if Tommy misrepresented himself as a cue maker or sold brand new Engles as "found in uncle Bob's closet" he did do a lot of business these past years and mostly good business deals that went fine. I bought an Engles case from him and it arrived on time with no hassles.
Frankly I am beginning to wonder if he is still alive? I thought he was still browsing at Jimboworld but apparently he hasn't been there since early August.
I have an idea.
Why don't we start a "private investigator" fund. So whenever these deals go south then AZB can chip in to fund having a guy on the ground to see what the situation is really like. I think most of us can't stand to be ripped off but we can't stand not knowing even more. We desire "closure".

Oh by the way,... I called the number for V T Hindman yesterday and the old lady answered again. This time, I asked for Sam. She immediately asked "who's callin?" in a very suspicious manner. I said my name and she paused and then said "Oh, Greg... Sam's not available. I'll tell him you called." Then she hung up on me.
He's there. Jess said that his car is still there. He just isn't answering and like all con-men... deep down he is just too p*ssy to step up and be a man. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done without spending more than it's worth.
So... looks like I'm at a crossroads. Guess I'll just have to hope he gets pulled over and a warrent from the FBI/local police reports lands him in jail for International Wire Fraud. Him serving a few years should at least be a little justice in my book. I'd settle for that. That should make his lying momma proud!:thumbup:

This situation reminds me of how a lot of people paid upfront for cases from Chazdillion and never received them. Wasn't a case opened up with the local authorities in his area and the detective would check in from time to time on him to make sure he was fulfilling his obligations? Or am I wrong on that? I vaguely remember someone mentioning that the detective would at least give him an update on the case from time to time. What was the outcome of this ordeal? Did some people received a refund or a case from the pressure he got from having a police report filed against him?
I know Antfarm was asking for all the people who paid deposits or sent their cue/shaft to Hangem High to get with him so he could open a case. It seems to me like the local law enforcement could pay him a visit at his house if enough people reported him as taking money from them and not fulfilling his obligation for the payment received. It seems there would be enough circumstantial evidence with the guys paypal address coinciding with the home address that was listed to at least peak the authorities interest some.

Um, in the words of the immortal Smorgie, if I have to 'splain it then it's not worth it. Let's just say that sometimes in conversation with one person points are made that are really intended for the audience.
UPDATE:
Mr. Wilson (the AZ moderator) refuses to lock Hangemhigh's account until there is concrete evidence of wrong doing/illegal activity on the part of Tommy. Basically, he won't do so on my accusations alone.
I tried. I've copied each thread into a word document so there is no chance of Tommy/Sam deleting any of it.

There are no games here. I said what I wanted to say to Dave. Mike and Jerry and everyone else can take what they want from that. Jesus Adam don't make this out to be more than it is. It's really simple. A forum member is looking for help from a moderator and that moderator isn't helping. Of course the debate is how much could or should that moderator be involved and is there a better way to regulate disputes between members.
There is no need for me to have a private conversation with Dave over this . It's a public discussion about the fact that one member is MIA with a lot of money and product and what, if anything, can be done about it. Dave made it clear that he was unwilling to be involved so the original poster brought that to light and we are discussing it. Hopefully the WFS will end up with a few more rules/procedures that help to ensure good transactions. Like I said I do not think that Dave is the right man for the job in that section. That section has a life of it's own and should be moderated/policed by the best people there. Then Dave will be free to swing his hammer down on the trolls and people who exhibit chronic bad manners as well as on people who simply exhibit a little free speech in NPR that he does not agree with.
