I know both these guys fairly well. I have the utmost respect for Justin and what he's doing with TAR. If I didn't feel that way I wouldn't step into the booth to work for them. I was the one who brought up the match with Mike D./CB online, after Chris began asking where he could get some action while he was commentating. So I am to blame for this.

I don't know Mike as well or as long, but IMO he is a good kid (only 21) and a terrific young player. He is quite willing to test himself against other good players, and is not asking for spots of any kind. The kid he travels with Adam Behnke is another fine young man, polite and passionate about pool. He can play too!

Mike is young and quite enthusiastic so he may over step his bounds sometime. That's almost to be expected. But I won't fault him for trying to make a game with a good player. It's not like he's hustling some sucker somewhere.

I think Mike would like the challenge of playing a big match in front of the camera with the whole world watching. He wants people to see how good he plays. This is not unusual for a young player with abundant skills. They play to the crowd.

I for one hope this match can be made and does appear on TAR. Mike is kind of an unknown entity right now, but you won't be disappointed if you see him play. And Chris is a great match for him, a talented player and a seasoned gambler. I wouldn't want to have to pick a winner here. And no, I'm not involved either way, other than as a fan.

I hope this can be resolved and the powers that be cut Mike a little slack. Like I said, he's a good guy with a great attitude who loves to play other good players.

"Rail-Tard" is different than "Railbird". Rail-Tards are the ones who pretend to know everything about everything. Railbirds enjoy watching pool. Am I way off base here? You can be a railbird and not "tardy" in the least:D

It could be a big deal. Maybe somebody owes somebody something and would know some match is taking place (somewhere). That knowledge being public could prove a detriment to making the match come off.

Perhaps a venue would request unfair consideration because it finds out early...

You just don't know.

How would people donate if there is no event?

Cmon Kentw dont get all worked up, after all what Justin said is TRUE. The past times Bartram came on here to discuss action what was the result? The RAILTARDS woofed it up and nothing happened. Everyone who knows anything about action pool in the USA knows Bartram will match up and will gamble. Go back and reread some of those threads and you will see why Bartram is no longer interested in working up the details of a large money game on AZB. Its so much more effective to do this kind of thing over the phone than to spill it on AZB for everyone across the world to see and discuss.

Lastly, keep in mind that Dechaine was spilling details about a game that TAR is working to bring to fruition. Nothing good is going to come of having games that are in progress with TAR being revealed on AZB, only bad things. What will happen is some wanna be pool room detective will knock the game. JCIN is perfectly in line to ask that Dechaine NOT spread the news of games in the works with TAR.

If you scroll up, you'll see I was just busting your balls and repped you for it.

I don't play 8-ball, I play 14.1. You're not gonna rattle me with $1000 bets, fyi. On a friendly note, I see you're near me. We can play friendly $100 games of straight pool or bank pool and then go out for beer afterwards. Nothing adversarial. Totally friendly. :)

People will still buy the PPV or the DVD even if it was announced from somebody other than TAR.
