Not the greatest picture.

The tip was chalked and shot with for about 2 racks. Chalk was cleaned off and tip was scuffed with sand paper.

Anyone know what this is?

If it hits hard, I would say a Triangle. You can never get the sides to burnish nice (shiny) without a little CA or Loctite.

Definitely not a Le Pro or a Sniper.

My first impression was a Triangle.

I would have to say its a Elk Masters tip, I never seen a blue Le Pro tip just brown looking ones.

It's a Triangle... shape the tip if it's is gray before the you chalk it again it is 100% triangle. If I am wrong I'll send you a triangle for real!!!!!!!

When new, the tip had a gray hue to the fibers.

The reason I am asking is because I asked for an elk master tip to be put on, but it looks as though it might a be triangle. Just asking the experts at AZ.

Definitely NOT LePro, could be Triangle, more likely ElkMaster

I have to concur with JoseV. Definitely *NOT* a LePro. ElkMasters are inherently blue in color throughout, including as viewed from the [burnished] side of the tip. Here's a picture on Tweeten Fibre Company's website comparing LePros with ElkMasters, and you can quite easily see the difference:

And here you can see pics of all Tweeten Fiber Company's tips (including Triangle tips):

Notice that Triangle tips are brown in color; not quite as brown as LePros, but brown nonetheless. The only blue-/bluish-colored tips are ElkMasters and Blue Knights. The tip in your pic *definitely* has a strong blue hue to it (including as viewed from the [burnished] side), so I suspect it's an ElkMaster. But if there's a question of trust in the person that put the tip on for you (i.e. if he/she "cheaped out" on you and installed a less-expensive tip but charged you for an ElkMaster), then it could be a Blue Knight.

Hope that's helpful,

As sfleinen states, its either an ElkMaster or a Blue Knight. I use Triangle tips on my cues and shave them down before burnishing the edges to remove mushrooming, Triangles are not blue in any way.

its definetly not a triangle. I put triangles on all my cues. If you have some of the older elkmaster, like I do, when you burnish the sides it looks exactly like this one. My first opinion still stands . Elkmaster
