You snapped the tenon and ferrule off. You won't fix it without a lathe.

Its not an overly expensive repair if you take it in. Try it yourself and you will find out how expensive it can be.

While you are ordering a ferrule from OB, buy a package of carbon pads.

Go ferrule-less

Why not. And then he can find out what it feels like to play with a shorter shaft.
Did you not notice the divot missing from the tenon being snapped off.
Ya know, a person would want to fix that first before you put a pad and tip on.

Not an easy fix without a lathe..

Need to drill the shaft , install a dowel , turn to size , 'preferably' drill the center of the dowel out to retain similar end mass to the original , install ferrule , turn to size , complete 'typical' tip installation.

You could probably do that with hand tools if your really really handy but it would be tough. And tough to make 'pretty'.

Get it done properly before you end up with no shaft.Royce is a great
guy that is always willing to help.I would ask him first.Goodluck

ob shaft

At least give Royce a chance.
Your local cue man knows what he is doing and has a ob ferrule?

No offence to any cue repairman but some ld and laminated shafts you dont let anyone fix them.

If you don't take it to your friendly neighborhood cue repair person, and have it done right, then you'll get exactly what you pay for.

don't do it yourself!

do the right thing and get someone who can do it right. try it if you must on an old junk cue. you will be very unsatisfied. you have a problem that needs a cue repairman. find a Good cueguy.

I have to agree with this. If it were just changing a tip I'd tell you to do it yourself but a new tenon and ferrule is a job that needs the right tools and knowledge.
