Can you believe this crap?

That's ok. It brings back some memories when I had a nice 5 acre lot and a sunset every night. Now I live in the heart of the city.

Can you guess why I didn't go to the post office today?

I took the first picture earlier today and the second a few minutes ago. It's snowed like this all day.

Wow, I don't think I could live in that kind of cold. I just came in off the patio where the local temp is 77 today. I like winter as a tourist and love to visit wintery places. I have even hikes the Alps in sub-zero weather, almost died once, but I prefer living where it is warm year around.
By the way, I read your website. That is quite a story and you sound like quite a guy.

Thanks, it was an experience.

Kinda makes our measly 6" on the other side of the mountains look somewhat weak....

We couldn't park in the driveway last night, kept sliding down...

Well that's a fair bit in one go.
The snow record in the main city north of us in Tromso (last letter is a O with a / through it) was prox 2.50m :D

Entrance to the houses was like tunnels..

2.5m in one day!?!?!?
Kinda makes me re-think how bad our storms are here!
We have a warning for Sunday. Up to 25". Time to break out the 4x4!

I can tell you this....I sure miss living in Alaska.....I lived in Fairbanks for 5 yrs, 1995-2000 when I was stationed at Ft Wainwright in the US Army...I absolutely LOVED it there......There was snow on the ground usually from Oct-April

Sorry, my mistake. I checked and the record was 2.4m and that was not in one day but overall peak during 1997. At the moment/today, current maximum is 74cm which is not to bad :D

I like the feeling of change during the year. Have been in UK a lot and basically if you are there in February or June, does not matter - it rains.. All year.. Would drive me mad having the same weather all the time.

Also wrt heat. For those living in the sunny areas, I guess you at one time get used to it and don't desperately need to do a BBQ every day ;)

Anyway, I guess we all have our traditions and memories of what Christmas is.

And yes, that's me to the top right, but add some Kg in weight and some gray hair because that was don in 2000 :joyful:

The pic "R?dstikk" (Roedstikk) was the cover of a catalog for medical equipment and tools.

I was just in Norway. Pretty neat place. I was there on business, I liked eating the dried fish.

My company has a plant there. We were near a Viking village where the guy rebuilt or built a Viking ship to sail around practically everywhere.

Hope we EDIT:did'nt scare you to much ;)
I'm not sure if you have been in the Oslo area or not but next time drop me a email and we'll team up and play some pool downtown. GoldCrown 4 and just pool in one of the places (no bar but snacks), the other is a "Sports pub" with GC4 and have those things served chilled, usually with foam on the top and could be pretty refreshing

Currently 1300km from there though, but the local pool hall is not to bad either.

That was the main reason for me moving away from Vegas. I lived there for five years and got tired of sunshine crazy as it seems. I also missed lakes and grass. I do want to find the time to get back there. I miss all the tasty tourists. ;)

Those smoke stacks in the background remind me of the old papermill on the St. Johns River.
