Can you do something with this?

Here's a spot John was in that looks pretty cool. Two break balls and two key balls above them.

I find it harder with situations like this because I try to keep both options open too long. How about you guys?

John probably decided right here. M estimate is 8 in the corner then 14 in side on left followng to side on left making upper strip in right corner floating to the middle shoot the solid in same pocket hit side rail an dfloat down for the 2 12 in side break with the 1 ball. Break the next rack and run about 397 more.....

i think he's going to leave the the two balls down table to set up BB position on the 2ball.

so 8ball in the corner, cue comes off bottom rail for the 15, then 9 then 14, then down table for that dark ball on the right then the ball at center table near the head-rail.

dennis; this is a fun post! you mean he used the 8 to get on the balls at the head of the table then came back to the 14-2-15-9 ? which one is the 4ball?

There is no 4 ball, but yes he used the eight to get to the balls on the other end of the table. Can you figure out the order after the eight?

I would have played 8 two rails down to the 6, then the 4 up to the 13 i think it is then 9 same corner, then 14 in the side to get on the 2 ball. I think it´s the same route but i play position for a left handed breakshot and john for a right handed. Actually i don´t care that much if its left or right as i am tall. But its nice that i play the same pattern as john does sometimes.

I get in trouble too easy. If I could pocket balls like John, I'm sure I'd see it differently, but at first glance I'd consider the two balls up table as my key ball and ball to key ball rather than forcing the CB up and down the table and risking getting out of line. But of course all that can change when you are actually looking at the table from the shooters perspective.

I might consider ( the way the balls are numbered now ) 1 -4 - 5 - 6 - 2 - 3 and draw off the rail to the break ball 7

I would probably try the same thing. With my cue ball control, once I went up to get the two in the kitchen, there is no telling where I would end up on the remaining four.

i thought that the 14 was blocked by the 2. regardless, nice end pattern.
