Realizm,
I Am Also Not Looking For A War.

I Am Only Discussing The Work, And The Pricing For These Cues.

Yes The Shop Is Set Up To Turn Out Large Numbers Of Cues, So In A Sense It Is Production. They Also On The Other Hand Build True Custom Cues, Where The Customer Gets To Choose Everything About The Cue. That I Consider To Be Custom. Give Any Of The Production Companies A Call, And See If You Can Design Your Own Cue, And See What Price They Give You.

The Cue That Is In This Thread Is An 1100 Dollar Cue From Carolina. My Only Point Is, There Is No Cuemaker, That I Know Of, That Can Give You That Much Work For The Same Price.

I Can Also Say That I Have A Batch Of Cues Coming From These Guys, That I Am Certain, The Production Cue Shops Could Not/would Not Build For Anyone. I Will Post Pictures As Soon As I Have Them.

jerry rauenzahn can. the reason some of these guys are so high in price is bc they pay rent on a shop and pay workers and have alot of overhead. jerry is one man that owns his shop and makes everything by hand all inlays done with a manual panagraph

Marcus are you really that gullible!!!!

I didn't think so,

I will be posting pics soon of a new cue that is a joint colaboration with the crew @ Carolina Cues, cocobolo, spalted maple, ivory, and ringtail this thing should be jam up!!!

DAVE,
I HAVE HAD -R- DO ALOT OF WORK FOR ME, AND I KNOW HIS PRICES ARE VERY VERY RESONABLE........I JUST DON'T SEE HIM DOING AN EIGHT POINT CUE, WITH THAT MANY INLAYS FOR 1100.......IF HE DOES, MORE POWER TO HIM, AND EVERYBODY SHOULD BE BUYING THEM.......

P.S. JUST SO EVERYBODY UNDERSTANDS, I LIKE JERRY AND RESPECT HIS WORK. THIS POST IS IN NO WAY NEGATIVE TOWARDS HIM.

IF I WAS THAT GULLIBLE, I'D SHOOT MYSELF.

SOUNDS LIKE A COOL CUE, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT.

HE ALREADY TOLD US HE WASN'T THE SAME GUY, I'M SURE YOU BELIEVE HIM AS MUCH AS THE REST OF US DO.

I THOUGHT DEADSTROKE WAS BANNED?

Give him a chance, because I would love to hear what he's got to say.

I might just learn something where he's concerned, since it isn't his email address and he's able to post.

Either his account was hacked by mrdeadstroke32@hotmail, or he's hacked mrdeadstroke32@hotmails's acct.

Either way, he's got my attention.

FWIW - I just swapped a few e-mails with Trevor at Carolina Customs....and I now have my order placed.

I can say that he's been really fantastic to deal with.....and he appreciates the kind words folks have had to say about CC cues, as a whole.

And in my personal experience, anytime you can choose your own wood combos, joint and pin, collars, veneers, inlay material and design, wrap, balance point, weight, length, and tip diameter...all before the cue construction begins...that means you're buying a custom cue.

Whether or not they have "catalog" or previously produced cues available through their own sales or some dealers....they ALSO make custom cues. I know I just ordered one that's about as custom as they get....for the very reasons mentioned above.

As far as Realizm's suspected identity, or case of mistaken identity. I think the answer is obvious. What we are dealing with here is an evil internet mastermind. We should all be wary, noone is safe.

As far as everyone else's posts go, I personally think that so many people having opinions, whether good or bad is exceptional. We love all the kind words and all the criticism is being considered thoroughly so that our work is continually improving.

I hope we continue to spark debates. May this thread never die.

Also, Daytonajoe is correct, his cue will be so sweet, I might have to steal it and skip town when it is finished. Sorry Joe, nothing personal.

BY A CUEMAKER IN THIS COUNTRY? WHO?

Oh, I see, there are additional conditions. I thought you just wanted a cue to your specifications. I didn't realize that it had to made in a certain geographical location.

Does it matter who makes it? You said find you a cuemaker to do x-cue for x-dollars. I have one, several in fact.

No matter, we won't be dong business as I think the question and my answer were both rhetorical.

I just get a kick out of general statements that can be easily refuted.

The point being that there are in fact other cuemakers in the USA and abroad who can and do make the cue you described for the same or less money beside Carolina Cues.

As to whether the quality of those cues is what you are looking for, I don't know what you expect. I know that I have cues made abroad that will certainly pass any inspection of workmanship and hit quality when compared to the hundreds of other cues by well known makers I have owned over the last 15 years.

excellent point...lol

I will try them

I will have 2 custom cues made to order next week, so I will let you know what I think at that time. I know they appear to be a LOT of cue for the money. As others have said, talking to Trevor (very friendly and helpful), selecting woods, points, veneers, rings, joint, and inlays, etc certainly makes the cue about as "custom" as it can be. Time will tell, but a whole lot of people with a whole lot of cue experience are ordering and examining their cues. None of us are too shy about reporting the good and bad on these cues. I look forward to receiving my 2, then I will post what I find. Until then, I won't say whether I feel they are "worth" the money or not.

I SHOULD HAVE ALSO MENTIONED AMERICAN MADE, WHEN I MADE MY STATEMENT.

I'M NOT INTERESTED IN BUYING CUES THAT COME FROM OVERSEAS. NO MATTER HOW WELL THEY ARE PUT TOGETHER.
