i know the 9 ball starts today and im hoping someone will start giving updates on any action outside the tournament. all info greatly appreciated.
 
heard nevel beat ritchie so its earl vs. nevel in finals. any updates for the 9 ball or any gambling?

just called to get results and haven't heard back from the tournament director yet - that makes me think that the finals are not finished yet. should have updates soon.
 
earl the pearl took down the one-pocket division. he did loose to mike davis in the nine-ball event though.

Thank you for the updates. Good to see Earl win a tournament of any kind. Now lets see if he trys to fight back from the wrong side in the 9-ball division. Johnnyt

he actually had a really tough match against Nevel it appears based on the scores - it was tight all the way to the end. final score 5-4 - the updates will be added to home page at some point.
 
Hope

I heard that Mike beat Gabe and then turned around and beat Earl the next game. I hope he keeps it up. It would be nice to see him win one.

Earl quit on Mike Davis 5-7 race to 11. Mike was up.

The only thing that i have seen is Mike Davis playing somebody 9-7 1p $50 a game. When I left last night mike was up 5 games.

i just dont get that. At the level these guys play at, they can go on a streak and put together 5 or 10 racks in a row......i might could see quitting if it was 10-0 or 10-2 (not really cuz like i said, they can string racks)......but quit at 7-5????

TAR should make Earl post another 10,000 as a bond against quitting. Then if Earl quits SVB wins $20,000 instead of just ten.

I think there will be some upset customers if Earl quits the Action Challenge.

Earl walking at The Carolina Open sure won't help the gate for the PPV...that's for sure. Johnnyt

Has anyone heard why he quit. Was he mad at himself for missing shots, or was the crowd to loud or was he upset with something Mike did? If anyone has a clue, I would like to hear it.
 
Only action I have seen so far was on Tuesday night. Sparky Farrell was playing Richie Richardson even nine ball for 100 a game

( there should be an 'Earl Rule' implemented in tournaments-No forfeiting during a match and No raking the balls )
