Casting Call!

If they made a comedy/charicature movie about Earl Strickland staring Ben Stiller that could be absolutely a riot. Not trying to act like Earl, but acting like a over the top charicature of Earl. Ben Stiller is perfect at this kind of thing.

Seriously, Earl might actually go for it. He seems like the type of person that might be able to look back and laugh at his antics a little bit and see where he went overboard. Plus he would easily be the most popular player in the world if he ever got a movie like this going.

Imagine this scene.

Earl (Ben Stiller) sits in his chair at the Mosconi Cup watching his opponent Ralph Souquet. Ralph has been at the table for 45 seconds now and has yet to shoot the 1 ball (close up of Earl/Ben with a look of complete disgust and disbief on his face).

Ralph shoots the 1 ball.

Seeing the shot from Earls point of view the ball seems to slow as it rolls towards the pocket, sounds of the crowd shift into a lower wavelength from the apparent shift of time in Earl's head. 10 seconds of grueling slow motion finally sees the 1 ball drop in the pocket.

Time is normal, the British crowd goes wild at this amazing straight in 1 ball with stop shot shape on the 2, champaigne corks are popping, streamers are soaring through the air, a hot blonde in the crowd is flashing her huge breasts at Ralph.

Earl staring at the whole scene with a dumfounded look on his face. He looks at Ralph who is now chalking his cue looking at a simple 2 ball from all the various angles and the crowd quiets to a whisper in huge anticipation of the next amazing shot, dropping his head into his hands Earl groans.

Next scene is Earl standing next to a beautiful young interviewer with a look on his face which is a mix of bewilderment and the look of someone that just woke up not knowing where they are.

Cue the interview questions and the Earl's POV flashbacks of the match that relate to those questions.

The posibilites for a movie like this, man...

That's hilarious! I can totally picture that scene.

It would be really funny to see Christopher Guest do another of his "mockumentaries" with his ensemble cast in a pool movie, and the whole film would be a behind the scenes look at the pool world...the possibilities are endless!

Making Lucy Liu as Jeanette is an upgrade in my opinion. hehe

Lucy Liu is so fine. I don't really like Jeanette for looks. No offense to her.

Have you seen Jeanette in person?

I think she's beautiful.

I totally agree. Pictures don't do her or Ewa justice. (But I also think Kimora is a closer match, because Lucy is tiny and Jeanette and Kimora are tall.) Anyway, Jeanette has enough experience acting that she could play herself. At least she can play a little. :p

You Cant leave out Danny DeLiberto played by himself.

He could be the house man, or the man behind the counter with all his old Road and Action Stories!
