Caution when dealing with tuffstuff07

Earlier today I entered into an agreement on the purchase of this Schon cue listed below.

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=226184

The deal was $300 plus shipping.. I sent two messages asking for his zip code to determine exact cost to ship along with his paypal address in the 2nd message..

He logs on and posts sale pending on his thread, Then adds it has two small scratches and one small brown one on the thread.. In which I send in a PM I don't care about the scratches and I'm ready to pay today..

He doesn't reply to me, Leaves the price of the cue on the thread, and signs off..

Now I get home to a PM saying... I got an offer of $350, Would you like to match it?

I send a reply.. So you made a deal with me on 300 plus shipping and now you're just going to leave me high and dry? and he's online when I send this about 30 min ago..

I wait 20 minutes with no reply and I know he's active because it keeps updating what he's doing when you view their profile.. Now he logs off and I get no reply..

Thanks for the friendly experience TuffStuff07

Wow that sucks...:)

I think everyone should do a SEARCH in the wanted / for sale section when dealing with anyone, regardless of I-trader. I trader never tells the real story.

So threads like this really help future deals. I commend you.

Thanks for the PSA.

Maybe the member who offered $350 will string him out a couple days, then air him. Then when he comes back to you , he can adjust $50 down instead of $50 up, LOL.

Yes, I agree with you.. and hopefully they can get the full story and not just one half of it. :)

Possibly very high itraders really do tell the whole story though......

I told him before I am at work and all I have is my phone which I am responding from now.

And I'm pretty sure I did give you my zip code. And you act like you sent me money and I took it. I still am at work like I told u I work til 11:30pm.

As far as hang em's comment I was a club memeber but apparently I'm just another scumbag on this forum.

So for everything I learned and every I've meet and done business with ty.

You didn't send me no zip code... and what does work have to do with a PM after we made a deal asking me if I would like to match an offer that was $50 more? Just leave it alone and I'll be done with it too..

I do have to say only one thing....

While I don't condone people shopping out highest bidders, I also don't believe in haggling over shipping prices.

$300 + shipping = $315 shipped via USPS Priority.

Should've just agreed on $320 shipped. It's not worth the few bucks in hassle, as you see here.

Then I apologize for that I was sure I did. And far as my past itrader you won't find anything because all them deals were flawless as usually

The pm after was I had no money in hand and so I viewed it as someone offered me full price. That's as far as it went.

So I guess for now Ill just keep the cue.

Did or did not send me a zip code, which you didnt, has nothing to do with making a deal with me and then selling to someone else who offered more after it was sold pending payment to me.

I didn't consider this deal final because no money had been sent. If money was sent it would have been a different tune.

If you agreed to sell the cue to him then you agreed to sell the cue to him. There is no mistaken a post that says deal pending. Admit that you made a deal and then backed out of it for more money and you can save some face here. Otherwise it just looks like you're weaseling your way out what was your mistake not his.

"Money in hand" isn't the sticking point here. It's the fact that you agreed to a deal. You posted "deal pending". You gave your word to sell the cue. Is your word worth nothing unless there is money in your hand?

Yeah, or maybe it was his friends cue and his friend accepted the other deal..

Nothing beats a search...

I've bought alot of cues as well as sold. Even if the person can't pay immediately we agree on when, next day, week or month. I wait till the next day after the time frame is up, email them that it's on the market again, they lost their 1st line spot. I don't care if I was offered more or not, I made a deal, I do my best to live by that no matter what.

Actuially it is my cue ty. Was purchased off this forum from another member dont believe me do the search.

Also I am just gonna take the time now to say it. I apologize for this. There was no agreed upon shipped price yet and when offered my full asking price I was gonna take that deal.

As far as this isssue it was a misunderstanding that as usually gets blown up on this forum.

To guy that was gonna buy it I apologize I should of waited and worked out the details with you after work.

If you look above I just did apologize.

Also have aplogized in the for sale thread.

And as to your fishing for the better deal comment if you read we never had agreed upon the shipped price of the cue.

Which once again I will say yes I should have finished out the deal.
