A friend raised his cue and the fan blade hit a few inches below the tip and snapped off his RCH below the joint.

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Shoulda bought a Meucci......... one time at the MisCue Lounge in Ft. Lauderdale FL I was playing a guy named barefoot Ricky for $10 a game and he had me stuck about 8/9 games. I had no cue as mine had been stolen a few nights before. So a guy walks in and I know he sells cues and I ask him to get me a cue. He says what do you want and I say whatever just bring me a cue. So he goes to the car and comes back with a couple Meuccis. I take one that cost about $200 and screw it together.

The FIRST shot I took with it I raised the cue up over my with with so much jumpiness that the cue hit the ceiling fan then hit the table and came back up and hit me square in the forehead. Knocked me right to the floor. Well I got up to see if I made the shot and I didn't.

Steve wrapped me around the table and I quit about 200 loser. Sold the cue the next day for a hundred. But gotta give it to Meucci for surviving that, especially after hitting my hard head.

FoWUL!

I was showing a cue to a friend once and raised it up to show him my butt , at which point he grabbed my arm and halted said raising of cue.

Saved my cue from the same fate.

Thanks Nick, you're still a dick.

Yep, pool cues and lateral force don't mix well. I would bet there was some damage done before the cue hit the fan, but the fan finished it off. Sorry to hear about the cue though, this is a good reason why not to smack the tip on the rail when you miss!

i have seen several 2 piece cues hit by ceiling fans & not break.

Are you sure that he didn't drop it when the fan hit it?

SLIM

Said he kept hold of it after it broke and couldn't believe what just happened.

oh that sucks...

tuesday night a league i have my fisher jump cue in my case the the but on the case was leaning on a chair and someone nocked it over the but of the cue hit the chair next to it and broke the shaft.. cracked through on both sides... the but is ok though lol

From the owner: cue was never slammed, and had no visible cracks or damage.

Just sayin'.

Notice how the grain runs right with the break there? This break was just waiting to happen.

I agree, this is an unusal split by getting hit 2 inches down the shaft. I think there was a hidden defect beforehand or beforefan.
