Except it's important to note the center of the pocket changes all the time as you play, both in location as well as size. :thud:

How do you determine where center ball is for the shot at hand? Do you use same method for off center pocket shots?

What am I missing here? I play a lot of shots where I cheat the pocket one side or the other for cb position.
 
I think I would have to say center of the opening of the pocket. Which may be what you meant, but I am still amazed at how many people aim at the center of the back of the pocket when shooting. No matter what their angle.

And to think that people keep doing it this way! I just hope someone that is new to the game doesn't take the OP seriously. It obviously started out as a joke. Not a funny one either.

I guess I should say, center of the object ball line to the center of the pocket opening, if your playing the correct angles , you will not need much english anyway.

center pocket and center ball hits are good for the object ball, not the next or next after...........which this game is all about so you have fun making the now ball

The center of the object ball to the center of the pocket is a constant, the center of the pocket opening rotates but common sense tells you where the center of the opening is, I don't care how you line up or look at, it's the same every fracking shot!

You guy's can keep driving balls to the rail or shoot it simple, english throws the object ball right or left, rotates the object ball forward or reverse, Get it or Forget it, thats up to you!
