Chalk

I like the green kind, but its' a little harder to find...
I bet if you walk into a pool hall and ask 10 different poolplayers that question you'll get 10 different answers

i remember back in highschool, my mom would yell at me when i get home, "what's this blue thing on your uniform? have you been playing billiards again?!?!?"
one time she got really mad - it's a red chalk stain on my white shirt. :grin:
 
I prefer Blue Diamond over Masters.

In my opinion it seems to stay on the tip better and give a better grip on the cue ball than Masters, which to me is a bit too dry, and I hate that squeaky sound it sometimes makes when applying it, gives me the shrills every time.

Sometimes you'll need to wipe those blue spots of the cue ball though, but that's minor.

Downside: Blue Diamond is much, much, much more expensive.
 
i only have 3 options - Masters, Triangle and Blue Diamond. It depends on the tip I'm using. So I try these three and whichever works best on the tip I'm using, that will be the one to use.
 
They all do the job equally well.

It's a necessary job, but not a terribly difficult one.

I use Masters Blue. I don't care if it's got a flag on it or not.
 
better still try playing for a while without chalk. it will make you use center ball and your shot selection more critical. a better player over time
 
Been using masters for centuries but predator is really good for my game no complaints from none of them

I left a cube of Triangle green at the pool hall today. If you are near Atlanta you can have it.
 
Blue Diamond is the best performing chalk without spending gobs of money. It is still cheap enough that the expense is irrelevent but it performs considerably better then all of the cheaper alternatives.
 
I find chalk threads extremely abrasive...:angry::angry::angry:


...but Tweeten has me for life...Triangle or Master
