That, aside from being too much trouble, would be illegal as hell. We don't make lines, we don't take bets, we put on 1 on 1 challenge matches with an entry fee and payout funded by those entry fees. The quickest way for these matches and our business to disappear is for there to be the impression that we are in the business of booking bets.

No offense, but he has every reason to be skeptical, as there have been a few welchers on things like this in the past.... Records show it's usually the "newer" people around here...

he's been here 3 months longer than me, i just dont post as much.
leaving work now, think about it and ill check back tomorow. either way, it doesnt matter to me.

I doub't very seriously I am the first one to think of this type of possibility... (Perhaps I was just the first one stupid enough to post about it)

Funny thing is.....Remove TAR from the equation...Remove the Internet from the equation.......The POSSIBILITY that I presented is very similar to the 2-Brothers Scam portryed in the movie TCOM.

I apologize if I came on too strong. I take TAR's, the players who play in our matches, and my reputation and honor very seriously. Sometimes I am quick to speak a little too forcefully on the subject.

Simply put, we know that if there is even the hint of any business or set up in any of our matches we are done. We are in the position where we usually know the players in our matches personally or have a very good idea of their reputation. We are not going to put everything we have worked for in jeopardy over one match or one player.

I can't say that something will never happen. No one can. But I promise that if anything ever does happen and I find out about it with certainty I will make it my mission in life to tell the whole world about the thief or thieves involved and they will have two very large, very angry men on their hands who can hold a grudge.

One of our goals for TAR, from the beginning, has been to try and get the reputation of the game out of the gutter. To show that players are willing to play heads up, in many cases with their own money invested, in a contest of skill, heart and will. People look at poker players as strong willed smart players who live by their wits playing a game for money. Pool players are no different and the ones we have worked with deserve no less.
