Challenge to mike sigel

Maryland State Championship...??

Isn't that kinda like "when the cat's away, the mouse will play".

Most everyone who could play was away in Florida playing in the 'big boys tourny.'

Well not everyone can afford to travel to all the "Big Boy" events....your right, the final 8 was pretty weak....

1st Josh Brothers
2nd Mike Sigel
3rd Adam Keiler
4th Manny Chau

Hope this helps

5-8 in any order

Brett Stottlemeyer
Ryan McCreesh
Matt Krah
Kevin West

See if Earl wants to play SVB at Derby, Shane will spot him the last two in 10 ball. The line is open.

LOL, yeah, Shane is gonna spot Earl 2 balls in 10-ball. He would never do that. I suppose its easy to talk with someone elses $$$ though.

Also Mike's camp knows about this thread and are working on a deal as I type this to you.

I'll apologize if I'm missing the boat, but...

Mark, you do realize that if TheMarsMan is making this offer, on behalf of SVB, then this is as bonifide an offer that you'll ever get from that camp?

Eric >whaddo I know

Eric, maybe you are right and this offer is legit. I really have no idea, however Shane is a smart guy and I am sure that Marsman is also REALLY??? 2 balls?? that seems like alot of weight to give Earl. If I have mis spoken and made a mockery of a legit statement then I am really sorry. Still I am not sure if Shane would think this a good deal. JMO

This.

Both of these guys have ludicrously high gears when they zone it in. A race to 11 is garbage with two players of this calibre, whoever gets out of the gate first will win.

I want to see a real match that allows both to shoot alot of pool. I want to see both get into stroke and have an epic battle like the Strickland/Reyes match was.

Race to 11 is crap, I don't care who wins it after the match is done NOTHING will be decided still.

This match would probably be the biggest PPV and DVD seller in the history of TAR if they were to set up a race to 50 in 10-ball between these two. It would be epic and the great thing is these two legends are both shooting alot of pool atm and they are both shooting it well.

TAR, set it up and you can count on one DVD sale and a PPV purchase right here for that one.

You are right about that race to 11 . Might as well watch them flip coins
Very good post and thought.

FYI, I think he would and he would still be the easy betting favorite. They played like that even and it wasn't pretty - and Shane is better now. MarsMan is Shane's backer.

I don't think Earl really wants that game. Nobody really wants to play Shane in 10 ball or they would. The last two is not much weight in 10 ball - it just means the ball before the 10 ball when all the rest are gone.

Mr Mars is also a very smart man, and makes a number of games for Shane, so if that was his offer, that is his offer (and his money to back it up too). Good luck to both of the players if it goes off, but I know which side my money's on!

Agreed, the last 2 aren't gonna matter much when Shane is out every time... And Shane is a more seasoned gambler than Earl. Earl was always a great tourney player, but not as much an action junkie as other players... his temper will get the best of him while Shane keeps his cool, just my opinion...

Well actually I have been working on some things that are not really hi $$$ matches and i askedEarl who he wanted and he said "Getme Shane". I told him that shane only plays big $$ these days and plays all over the world. This wouldbe a hardmatch to put together. Unless of couse we can get Earl a backer. I think Earl would love that match.

Wanna bet?
No if that offer is legit I am a little suprised but Iam sure wecan make it happen. Like I said Earl wants to play Shane just this end isn't as flowing with $$ as your end. I am surethat you are talking bigger $$ than $5k. Let me know and we can stream it etc shouldbe a great match.
You guys are probright though 2 balls prob won't make that much ofa difference unless Shane dogs it somehow.

Strange comment considering how badly Shane barbequed Earl last time.

Two balls would be nothing in this match. How often do you see Earl or Shane make the 7 and not make the 8, 9 and 10?

Maybe you misunderstood him. ;)

Chris

Ps. I know Earl is a great champion with possibly the highest credentials of any living pool player in 9 ball. I just got done watching the entire Color of Money Match with Efren for the 2nd time. Shane is a phenom and is in his peak form. Earl at his peak would have been an even match or even a favorite with Shane in 10 ball, in my opinion. 10 ball is a little diferent than 9 ball because the break and run is much more difficult - Shane excels at the 10 ball break.

Last two

I don't think many of you understand what the last two is. It's not a two ball spot, it simply means that when Earl makes the ball before the 10-ball he wins. No matter what that ball is, Earl doesn't have to make the 10-ball if he makes the ball before. If Shane makes the 9 ball but misses the 10 Earl still has to make it. He's not getting a ball on the break or any combination shots.

How many times are these guys going to run out to the ball before the 10 and not finish the out? It's the smallest spot you can give someone.

How about some BB 8b Mars or break and BIH for both players on their break playing 10b.Closer to a runout contest
Shanes break will break the bank. Just an Idea
