He's counting his loot with one hand, typing on here, and talking to Jay about his bank game on the phone.:D

He ain't got time to put ALL the letters in his words!

Fatboy, that's for posting about your "bodyguards" (read POSSE) accompanying you around when you play large!:)

XOXO:D

Why I do declare, now some nice young man had told me in chat
that mr.fatboy was learning english as a second language. They must have been having me on.
Shame on them I shall hunt them down and give them a good talking
to.

Anyway, don't believe much of what you learn in pool forum chat rooms....kinda like listening to politicians

Hopefully, this will not be just another drive by postng by JoeyA., but one that he will re-visit (in my lifetime) with additional pertinent information.

Doug
( perhaps he will grace us before the winds howl, the snow falls and the fat man brings gifts ) :)

The question remains unanswered so far. I just got back from the pool hall and all of the posts have lots of guesses and much fun. We've even had a Southern Belle or two chime in but no one seems to know or isn't saying.

FTR, I heard the rumor today (yesterday now). It came in early this morning from out of town. The carrier was trying to confirm the story just as I am. This isn't the military and I'm not giving up the carrier's name, rank or serial number (nor the player's name). However, if you see one of your local champions all bandaged up, black and blue, please let me know.
You know better than to ask. I don't give up info on the rumor mill although I will keep it spinning until I know what's up, then and maybe only then will I consider outing anyone. ;)

I do not know much more than that. Actually I'm hoping it is just a rumor. It's tough enough making a living playing pool without getting into scrapes.

Thanks to all who keep bumping the thread.

And Doug: I'm really sorry about being away from this thread for the last few hours.

I read the whole thread, and there are lots of assumptions, guesses, and then a few cryptic responses, which narrow it down to Jeremy Jones.

There, I wrote the name. Is that who this thread is about?

LMAO, good job Jenn. No need to call a spade a spade. Just call it a friggin shovel.

What I heard recentley about Jeremy is that he lost a pretty good package to Ignacio the other night in Bogeys and afterwards he took a little heat about it and that there were some words exchanged. I heard it blew over about as quickly as it erupted. Many take a little heat after a loss and most get over it about as quickly.

Jeremy had given Ignacio the 9 playing 10 ball and lost a 10 ahead set for, I think, $5000. They said it didn't take very long.

Jeremy is another good player that quit for a while and is having trouble regaining his old form. Kind of like CJ. That can be very frustrating, especially for top players. I personally think it can be hard to retain the "desire" necessary to play at the top. You either have it or you don't. You can't "make it up". Shane has it right now and so do most of the filipinos (they never seem to lose it). Many American's are lacking in this key area. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

JJ did have a fairly serious verbal altercation with Mika in Manila, and it all started after JJ missed an easy 4 ball. JJ was steaming and then Mika got a good roll on the next shot and they were off to the races. It carried over after the match outside the playing arena. But I think by now it is water under the bridge, although I expect some spirited play next time these two match up.

But thank you for being the forum police and commenting.
Wow, I do hope y'all have a nice day and you find some laughter in the daylight.
But I do declare the next person that uses the word nit,,,, lol

I am reminded of an old Christmas carol...

It's beginning to look a lot like Nitmas
everywhere you go.
Take a look at the forum threads,
the topics are soon all dead,
with flaming threads by trolls, they're all aglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Nitmas
"nit" words in every post.
But the prettiest site to see
is the members who agree
that the nits are only those who like to boast.

I heard Brasky put a guy's head through 2" inch table slate just for asking for a piece of chalk.:D

No, I was there. The guy asked for chalk, but he put it back on the rail upside down. Brasky then picked the entire table (GCI) up over his head, fliped it over in mid air, and smashed it over the guys head. His head not only went through the slate, but that massive frame as well. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in a pool room.

It's a good point. I think Jeremy has gone through a whole package of personal things and it has affected his play. It is difficult for him I can tell.

Like you say, the desire seems to be key. But often it takes a while toget "it" back. He is very competitive and I'm betting he will rebound.

All right, I guess it begs the question, and so I will be the first to pose it.

Who is Brasky?

lol, you don't know Bill Brasky?

In essence, after a cursory review of this thread, I thought the scuffle occurred between Jeremy Jones and Ignacious Chavez.

There are many cryptic responses on the thread, making it difficult to decipher who got beat up, who did the beating up, and who was sitting on the rail watching it unfold.

One person states a man with arms like a helicopter was swinging.

Then there is mention of a bottle being broken over someone's head.

Now it seems that somebody lifted up a pool table and smashed it on top of another.

If somebody can translate this and provide the details of what actually happened, at this stage of the thread, it will be greatly appreciated.
