Chang Yu-Lung of Taiwan breaks and runs out 9 racks

Guy's break was working, plus he played really well.
I especially like the guy's buttery stroke. Overall shooting style and the way his cueball moves just SMOOTH!

Here he is beating 3 time world junior champ Wu Yu Lun who is a monster in his own right.

Taiwan/China has 10+ players that are every bit SVB calibre. There talent pool is crazy deep, if they wanted to they could send a convoy of 20 players to the DCC, US Open 9-ball, US-Open 10-ball, and they would demolish most of the field and go home with most of the money. Very few American players could compete with them on an even footing.

Sad but true. Go to this guy's page http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UUIPDKe2pEc0m94LwoW7tr1w&feature=plcp

Scroll through any of the first 30 or so videos...and you'll see the newest crop of Taiwanese pros in their pro tour. The level of play is astounding, and that equipment is not easy.

Not to discredit Chang Yu-Lung, in my opinion, the magic rack is killing the game.

I am seeing more controlled breaks from pros which leads to more break and runs as the magic rack practically guarantees the wing ball in.

My 2 cents only, please do not flame me.

Most of the larger pro tournaments in Japan have moved to 10 ball because breaking 9 ball with the magic rack is a joke. Of course, I think the magic rack is better than giving an advantage to rack mechanics by using standard racking.

The pockets looked generous to me too with that cup on the end rail cushions.
Still a great run though.

We have a magic-rack joke around my land:
Implement cheating device.

I would also sing my own praises if I found a thread on here about me running a 9-pack.

(Does ychang45 stand for Yu-Lung Chang? ;))

First, Chang Pei-Wei had to sit there and take that A$$ Whooping in a MALL with his little fan club looking on.

Second, I am not so sure about that table when a ob touch the rail better than 2 diamonds up and still goes in. We have that same table at Mr. Cues 2 with extended rails and it is a tight pocket table and that kind of nonesense would never fly here.

Third, the table appears to be super fast!

Finally the guy is a really really good shooter.

WOW!!! This guy maintained no more than 20 to 25 degrees on 90% of his shots!!!

Nice vid. Yu-Lung is one of the many world class players from Taiwan that has rarely step foot outside of the island to compete.

Too bad that plane tickets+hotel+living expense adds up to a ridiculous amount of money that you must place REALLY high to even make any money.

Incredible... and that break motion... just wow o.o

Lol @ 13:53 btw, though I think that's more the rail than the pocket.

That jump draw on the 2 in Rack 10 was unreal as well, Taiwanese jump crew unite LOL

Having just spent a month playing in Taiwan, I wasn't surprised that shot went in. Slick cloth + long playing rails allow for the possibility of those shots.

Did you play in Taipei? If so, can you recommend any good halls to play at? I'll be visiting in a couple months but I don't know where to practice :P

Funny things happen to one's game when he has to eat the local cuisine...and local is the Mid-west. (How's the 'Chinese food' in Indiana?!?!)

I work with a few foreign gangs here in the US and almost all of em bring cooks.
