Chapter 5, Not Giving up on the Road

i do north FL, down to Orlando. plus Miami/South Beach. there's a ton of money in South Beach/Miami. and everyone is open/receptive. Spanish would help, but not required. plus, it's 80 degrees there today.

Nice i just hope i dont get too attached to it, i don't like staying anywhere more than 2 months no matter how nice and fancy it might be, unless earning money shooting pool becomes super easy there i dont forsee it lasting that long but it will be a pleasant change from scuffling.

Really? Is this still going on? Lets do a little math lesson. Say you stay at a Motel 6, eat, table time, feed that Unicorn that must be taking you from locale to locale during this fantasy tour as you have no car, then you're going to need to win a couple of Cecil's a day just to keep treading water. Yeahhhhh ok.

Why am I the Colonel? Because I always get the chicken

Some days I have to win more than this to make up for the days I don't win as much, the expenses do not stop coming.

And you are happy about this or the way things are? Just get a stable job, it's a lot less stressful than worrying about your next re-up, but I'm sure you've heard this a million times.

Pool player takes the money and runs no way...what's the difference the ppl that lost probably can't even bet half of it back let alone bet enough to have a chance to be winner. In 2014 if you want to win you better win the first set cause from there, it's only lose or break even with most people. You know thisss, stop letting the other part of the Midwest cloud your memory haha you know I know.

You are correct in a lot of circumstances. Definitely a lot of things to consider before you decide to start gambling with people. It's like when a set goes hill to hill and player b scratches on the 6 ball and then asks player A for adjustment next set. However, there are still some people that operate with good etiquette and have big money. Rhea got to play two of them that I'm aware of. One of them even staked her after she beat him.

Are there any videos of Rhea playing? I've heard the claims of her being a B player but speeds vary region to region and on a bar box vs a regulation table. Just curious.

The truth is speed is relevant, I can run a 10 ball rack on any size table from the break without ball in hand, but how consistantly can I do it? Not that often maybe 10 times in an entire day of play and that is generous.

Rhea,

You remind me of someone I know that was totally addicted to of all things -- BINGO. She went out just about every night to get her fix. Her family was being left to fend for themselves as mommy went out to get her bingo fix. One night the topic came up about how much she loved bingo. So I said great, we have some cards and one of those spinner things, let's get all set up and play some bingo. We can play all night long. She just looked at me and said - "No thanks".

It wasn't about the bingo.

This isn't about pool.

You claim that you want to be a professional pool player. If that's the case then get off the road. Get a job. Spend your money on getting a quality table. Spend all your free time practicing. Play a tournament or two or month, or use AZ billiards to line up a good action match once a month to keep yo focused on your practice (you know like JB vs. Lou).

If you do that -- then this is about pool. If you don't it's just about you. Hey guys look at me.

Or it's about gambling.

Amen, plus you are in the right circle. If she was smart she would earn the respect of someone like you so you can point her in the direction of money. Then again sounds like she wants to be self made, makes a difficult task turn into a nearly impossible one. Gotta have connections to get plugged in.

Even a blind squirrel...

Serious, are there any videos so I can judge for myself? There must be something no?

Everything in MODERATION.
